Which would you all choose? The Aria deluxe room. Or Caesars Augustus.
I love a nice hotel. But really hate the high prices, who doesn't? LOL
We have never been to the Aria. Stayed in Caesars ions ago. I know Aria is suppose to be real nice. I know Caesars there will be a lot to do. Both rooms seem to run around the same price.

But I just can't decide. So I will let you all do it for me. lol

Aria is cool and hip. I prefer the casino there. Food options are on the high end.

CP - Augustus room is better for us. The Casino is just a mess. It does have better food option from food court to mid level to high end.

Hard choice not knowing what is more important to you... along with where you will play, eat, drink, etc.

We don't eat in High End Restuarants, just too expensive. More like Outback prices is where we eat. To let you know. We do buffets sometimes, we like real good ones.

We like to visit a lot of other hotels as well. Will be gambling in a variety of different ones. I play slots. DH plays slots and tables. He likes black jack.

So a little more info for you, hope it helps. :)

If you have any other hotels suggestions, let me know that too.

I have stayed both places.. and I LOVE Aria. The beds are amazing. the service is top notch. They are opening a new pizza place July 4th. It is an easy walk up the back escalator over to Monte Carlo to the food court if you want something quick. Tram takes you to Bellagio or Cosmopolitan (where I recommended the buffet - Wicked Spoon). We have stayed at almost every property on the strip including Ceasars, Mirage, Bellagio, NYNY, Paris, MGM, Mandalay Bay an Excalibur. Hands down Aria is my favorite. I play slots, hubby plays table games and video poker.. and we enjoy the game options at Aria. Good Luck.. and if you choose Aria.. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Depends what you like! I'd personally pick Aria. I like the location, and all the surrounding resorts... Also I just have had better luck at MGM properties, so I tend to gravitate towards them. Also Caesars is always so damn busy. It's crazy.

Honestly, what is cheaper? I'd pick that haha.

Both places are full of high end shopping and dining and gambling... hmm

Aria wins overall with me because they have a better hotel (amazing beds and soaking tubs) and casino (easier to navigate). However Caesars has better food options (buffet is def better) and live entertainment. But I also agree with previous poster just go with whatever is cheaper!

Aria has some pretty nice restaurants that are definitely closer to the casual end of things. The thing is, I know you're using "Outback prices" to describe what you're looking for, but Outback isn't that inexpensive -- most of the ones I've ever seen menus for have $20-ish entrees, with the exception of the really small dishes. Lemongrass, Javier's, and Julian Serrano will all leave you with a bill around the same as that you'd find at Outback. Point being, don't get hung up on whether or not a restaurant is "fine dining" or "high end", and look at the actual menu first.

Anyway, I would take Aria over Caesars any day of the week. The rooms may be comparable, but the Aria property is much nicer overall.

There is no reason you should feel you have to pick one of these two, especially if you feel the price is high. If the room price is bothering you, you won't be happy with food costs either. Try looking more at places like Monte Carlo, Paris, Mirage and TI. You will probably feel you are getting a better bang for your buck at one of them. Plus they are all a bit more accessible to the strip, which comes in handy if you casino hop.

No better place than Vegas to stay at a nice hotel with an affordable price tag such as the MO. Not sure if you have an AMEX Plat but if you do then book your hotels through FHR (Fine Hotels and Resorts) so you can get some benefits.

I would stay at the Augustus Tower with a Fountain/Eiffel Tower view, you can always catch a Tram across from Caesars to Aria for other things. If you want a nice hotel with an incredible view, i say Caesars. I hate City Center, should have left NYNY and Monte Carlo the way it was including the Boardwalk.

Well, it's a long story, but many of us believe the City Center should never have been built in the first place for various reasons. The City Center houses 5 Hotels including Aria. Pre 2006, when the old Boardwalk Hotel took up the space between Bellagio and Monte Carlo, it was a pleasurable experience to walk the Strip in IMO. Now, it's just a hodgepodge of buildings without a theme, it seems lost. The Tram from Bellagio to Monte Carlo was also great before City Center. Looking out over the Strip to watch the golden sky at sunset......now it's just pieces of glass.
But Aria is one of the finer hotels in Vegas and i'm sure you'll love it, it's just one of the changes i wish never happened.

Waverunner, thanks for all the info on City Center. I'm curious to see what it's like now. We casino hop so we won't be in our main hotel all the time. I like seeing and being in different hotels.

I got an email this morning from orbitz. 15% percent off certain hotels in Vega's. So I went ahead and booked the Aria's. The 15% helped some, so that always helps. I'm sure we will like it. We leave in 7 days...yay

Aria is a gorgeous property and you will love it! If you haven't been to Vegas in so long that you don't know what City Center is, you are in for the surprise of your life - so much has changed, even since I started going in 2004 - There are new properties (Wynn/Encore, Cosmopolitan, City Center) and some of the old favorites are gone (Aladdin is now Planet Hollywood and The Stardust and Frontier have been imploded. The Sahara is shut down and is in the midst of renovations and will be reopened at some point). It will be like rediscovering Vegas all over again, because you will have plenty of new places to check out.

Maybe I'm just not remembering. Because I was there about 4, 5 years ago. I remember the Wynn and PH. The others could have been there and I'm just not recalling.
