I've got the same dilemma for the week of Thanksgiving. I'm wondering if I'm trying to plan too far ahead.:peace:

Some (most?) hotels don't show their rates until it gets a bit closer to the date.

I'm looking around last week of august / first week of september and i think MB, Bellagio and Wynn had their rates posted but not Cosmo or NOBU

Hit or miss; if your looking for a specific hotel, just keep checking every week.

Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday in the US, so definitely start looking. If you fly southwest, check daily cause if you find something decent and book and the price drops you can rebook and keep the credit for future trip (must be completed by original purchase date tho). Check southwest vacations as well and when checking flight prices click on add a hotel. It is not necessarily the same price as SWV. Check Kayak.com, i4vegas.com and all the other search engines that are mentioned here on the forum. Check with the hotels directly as well. Most of us bood separately but sometimes the packages have a better price but be careful to read and understand their refund policy. Most packages render you less flexible to change.

Great prices are not always easy but often your diligence will be rewarded with great prices. The more flexible with dates, days of the week and times, the more likely it will be to find a good deal but I wouldn't wait too long for Thanksgiving travel, prices get pretty high as available fares become more and more scarce.

Have done 7 of my last 9 LV trips through Soutwest Vacations. I get the flight price and then the price room through the casino's website and then compare vs the vacation package. Only reason why this July's trip is not that way was got a crazy deal back in March where we got a week for under $300 with the resort fee included.
