Looking at the Chinatown pictures I posted, I realized I have got some really good fried rice at places like Monta Ramen and Cathay House, but it was always pricey, like $6-$8 for a large order. The same order would cost you less than $3 overseas--a quarter in some places.

Does anyone know of available cheap, high-quality fired rice? My first instinct is Big Wong, and I think I have a menu here somewhere.

"Cheap" and "High Quality" is like oil and water. They don't get along together.

Might be difficult to find this.

$6-$8 does sound like economical fried rice.

I suppose that one might be able to get it cheaper at a fast food franchise like Panda Express.

I don't think I can get fried rice for much less than $5 or $6 in the town where I live.:faint:

The Chinese place in Palace Station is some of the best I've ever had. It's $10 but my brother, his girlfriend, my wife, and I ate from the one order and still had enough to take back to the room.

I can make this at home for pennies. I ate shrimp fried rice in Korea for 5 days a week for, like, $1.50 a pop. I even left my own bottle of Heinz Ketchup at the place.

Yes that's Korea. Everything in Vegas is expensive. Not that $6 is really expensive...

The best fried rice I've had was from Bill's Victoria Room Cafe. Now, that it's gone, I have to travel for a fix. I will add Thai Style Noodle House has a decent duck fried rice.

I like Big Wong, but I don't recall seeing fried rice on the menu. I'll have to look more closely next time.

I know it doesn't qualify as cheap ($20), but for some odd reason, room service at the Mirage has the best BBQ pork fried rice I have ever had, anywhere. A massive plate full of delicious. Anytime I stay there, I end up ordering it several times.
