Excalibur used to have the Caribbean Stud but last time in that place was about a year ago. Not sure if its still there. I would like to find this game too. It was always a full table. No idea why it became so scarce.

I just got back and played LIR at Rio-PH-Flamingo-Margaritaville...I did not see caribean stud anywhere. We went to Hard Rock one night and when I asked about LIR they told me that "nobody has that game anymore !". That did make us try Ultimate Texas Hold'em that I enjoyed a lot after playing LIR for years (a convert from BJ).

All CET properties and probably most MGM properties still have Let it Ride as well as Venetian/Palazzo. Venetian/Palazzo is the only casino on the strip that I am aware of that has Caribbean Stud listed on their website.

Its about the popularity of the games.

Both these games are owned by Shufflemaster so the casino has to pay to keep the tables open in their casino, if not enough people are playing then its not worth it for the casinos to offer the games.

Games like roulette, blackjack and craps don't change much in their levels of popularity: they are always big draws in the casino... but for all those other fringe games they are usually really hot when they are new, but then eventually somebody else comes along to steal the spotlight. Also, when new games come out they need somewhere to put it on the floor and that usually means taking out another table game and replacing it with the new one.

Sometime last year I read something on a couple of Vegas based websites/message boards that Shufflemaster had doubled the licensing fees on Caribbean Stud. I can't vouch for the accuracy of those statements, though.

I was in Vegas in early Feb and Harrah's had LIR at 5 minimum. The tables were right by the bar where they have the dueling pianos.
