I'm a CET platinum card holder. A couple of months ago I was contacted by a casino sales executive about using him for any future bookings. The email stated he could do more for me than using the website or calling could do.

I basically ignored it and used the CET calendar to book 5 comp nights at Ballys for an upcoming June trip.

Last week I got an email offer for 2 comp nights and $100 reel rewards or a gas card.

So, I just emailed him to see if he could incorporate that offer into my already existing reservation.

Hey, $100 is $100 and I'll already be there anyway. I've never used one of these people to book a trip. What do you think the chances are he takes care of this for me?

I have a Casino Sales Executive with CET as well (although I'm Diamond). This is exactly what I use her for. I usually just book my rooms on the website because they're always comped. But if I receive an attractive offer for something more (free play, f&b, etc.), I just e-mail her to attach it to my existing reservation. She can also get me a nicer room comped than the website sometimes.

I've been told a "casino sales executive" is essentially a lower level starting host. They're the ones who usually go out trolling to find players and hopefully develop that player into a bigger player or lure more play away from other brands (like MGM).

    Have to start somewhere, right?

Yeah, I know these people aren't "true" casino hosts. I don't have enough play to have a host, but that's ok. I feel like CET treats me pretty well for my play and I don't need much anyway.

This is good info for me. Hopefully my guy can come through on this. I'll post back when I hear from him and let everyone know how it turned out.

Cool. I have all kinds of stuff in my CET offers but usually only get the free rooms. The shows are not the ones I would go to. If only they threw in Jubilee! :nworthy:

I had something similar happen just recently. I just called the regular reservations line and they were able to incorporate the new offer in with my existing calendar reservation.

So, my guy emailed me back today and it's all taken care of! Yay!

That's an extra $100 for my bankroll. It may not seem like a lot, but I might try it on a larger denomination than I usually play just to see what happens.

    Congrats, every little bit helps!

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what are the titles of "true" hosts at CET? Host?? I have a Casino Marketing Executive that I usually book through, is this the same thing as a Casino Sales Executive?

Just curious what you CSE's name is? I got the same thing a few months ago but didn't get an email address just a name and a phone number. Just wondering if it was the same guy.

There are a lot of different titles. But with CET I have hosts whose title is Casino Marketing Executive at individual properties and I have someone who has contacted me that works for all CET properties whose title was also Casino Sales Executive. I've never bothered to use him though because the one time I tried he wasn't doing anything more than booking what I already had.

Yeah, that's why I wasn't going to use him. What's the point if I can book my own stuff online and cut out the middle man. But when I got this offer with freeplay, I figured I'd try him out instead of calling the TR number. My experience with them in the past is they want to charge you $10 for booking over the phone.

Maybe this guy gets some sort of incentive, otherwise I'm not sure why he would've contacted me. If that's true, then so be it and I'm glad I could help him out!

Most of the time I don't get any good offers for extra stuff. Maybe a tournament or a show, but I'm not interested in all that. Since it was for free slot play and I was already going to be there anyway I wanted it. If it had been for spa services, or food I would've taken them up on that as well.

His name was Marc Haddad, but I'm sure there are a lot of people that work for CET with the same title. If your guy didn't give you an email, maybe he wants to be contacted by phone instead?

Bob, then I think you have a "real" host. I think people only get a real host if they are 7* or high diamond. Lowly platinum members like me don't rate that kind of service. Also, if you have a business card I would think you have actually met your host in person. I don't think the casino sales executives are people who are on properties roaming around looking for big players to add to their stable. I could be wrong on this, but I get the feeling the person I'm dealing with is just one notch above the phone customer reps that you get when you call CET's 800 number.
