Plan on visiting Spago in June. Wife and I are Total Rewards cardholders. Can you show your TR card at the restaurant and bank the visit on your points scale? Seeing that the restaurant pays Simon Malls the bill money and all. I was hoping so!

Darn, what a crock! I see Mon Ami Gabi is excluded from the quick rewards also!

You can pay with points at MAG but you have to get a voucher or do a room charge. On the flip, the Forum shops are part of a mall operated by a different company and not part of the casino at all. The best you can hope is for an occasional discount for flashing the card.

Some of the newer places aren't listed on that link yet, like the Ramsay restaurants, so be sure to ask. It was last updated in November.

I sent an email via the Q & A to Corporate notifying them that it's a bit out of date. I haven't gotten a response from anyone, though I did get a acknowledgement that it was received.

But to OP, Spago doesn't take it I wish it did it's one of my favorites and I have lots of points I would spend there.
Ramsay Steak does take points I dined there in February. I would expect that the other Ramsay restaurants do to. The way to check is look at the menus, it will give a color coded prices -Orange for TR price, black cash/credit card price.

I apologize if I've misunderstood what you said here, but as a point of clarity, I believe you get the TR price just for showing your card. You don't have to pay with points to get it.

You may be right, but that's not the way I understood it. I thought the idea was for you to use your points not to show you are a member. So if I'm wrong, I stand corrected. I'd certainly like some confirmation on that. If using a TR voucher I would expect that to be an equivalent of using points.

Many CET restaurants now will offer member pricing at a slightly discounted rate. For example, say you eat at Gordon Ramsy and the ribeye is listed as $55, and a TR member price is listed as $54. Generally, they would like to see your card in order to to give you the TR member price. Now, you don't have to pay with your points if you don't want to, but you most will ask to see the card as some of the restaurants require that the waiter/waitress enter the number in order to apply discount.

There are many restaurants that are not owned by CET, such as Planet Dailies, Earl of Sandwhich, etc., but accept Reward Credits (RCs) as payment. Most of these non CET properties will not differentiate between the member, and non member pricing. I guess this is kind of a good way for one to know whether a restaurant is owned by CET or not.

Then there are the few, such as Mon Ami Gabi, that is not owned by CET and does not accept RCs, yet accept vouchers or room charge.

So you can still room charge from MAG, correct? I still feel it's easier to room chage and have your TR ID linked to the room than showing the TR card every time you pay to have the RC banked.

2 questions about Mon Ami Gabi.

    1. Do I just go to TR and ask for a voucher from MAG in a certain amount?
    2. Is the patio worth the long wait? Any good times to go where the wait is shorter?

#1 - You can. Or if you are staying at a CET hotel, you can just charge it to your room. That may be easier because you don't have to guesstimate your tab in advance.

#2 - Don't know. Only dined in the restaurant and it was fine.

Yes, all three GR places are fully integrated w TR and accept RCs, room charges, and can be picked up by a host at the end of a trip. The "TR discount" is pretty ridiculous when the $65 steak is discounted to $64 or something for TR members.
