We are staying at Orleans in May! 17-21....on comped rooms. We have only been there once for a couple of days and we both got free room offers with $10 food credit. Can't wait to try the pool area! We are under low rollers...and they treat us well so far.

One question, You say the offers are up, but where do we see them? I do have the online B Connected account but don't know where to look.

On a completely different subject, when are we going to get an Orleans countdown banner?

    Haven't Received Offers

I haven't received the 2 free night offer from the Orleans as of Friday. I am a little disappointed as I have stayed at the Orleans 4 times in the past year and will be staying there again in April. I like the Orleans but may consider staying elsewhere later this year.

You can always call and ask for a host to check whether you were sent a mailing or not.

Well I got a response back from the Orleans as to why I didn't receive the 2 nights offer that everyone else seems to have received and I am not happy about it. I guess the 4 times I stayed there and my slot play apparently wasn't enough to merit the offer. Well I guess it's time to take my play to other casinos then. I have praised the Orleans in the past and like staying there but after receiving the cold response I received from their executive host I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I spent a few hours there a few years ago after signing up for my card. I was soon being offered two free weeknights during future visits. Enticing enough to keep me coming back since then. I also spent money to extend my stay on one trip, and last fall took advantage of three "discounted" nights in order to stay there when I had no free nights offered.

I no longer seem to be getting two free weeknights, either, and after initially booking two nights at Orleans for next week I switched to Palms Place, even though it will cost me a little more. I figured as long as I was already paying, I'd spend a little more for nicer accommodations and a chance to experience something different. I'll probably end up at Orleans one night to gamble for a couple of hours, but had they offered me one of those empty rooms next week, as they use to, I'd never consider booking nights at Palms and would end up spending more time and money in their casino. I realize they don't need me, but I'm curious as to why it is they no longer want me when it took so little on my part in the past to earn an invitation.

Life goes on. Looks like I should plan on spending more nights at The D next fall.

I didn't get an offer this time, either. I stayed/played there twice last year; my BF who hasn't been to Vegas in a year and a half got 2 free nights though. Go figure...

We're going to LV for 4 nights in May; I haven't decided whether to book two nights at the Orleans and two at the Gold Coast (I DID get their offer as did the BF), or just stay all 4 at the Gold Coast so the Orleans can go screw themselves. :wink2:

your story is sounding increasingly familiar.

perhaps Orleans is using the Goupon model, offer a deal to get people to stay and play, then expect they'll want to pay for the privilege of coming back. Goupon sells its service to businesses under the guise that it will drive traffic and that they will ultimately increase business through additional sales. (<i>last winter a liquor store here in minnesota offered a $20 deal via Goupon for $10. Goupon takes half of the sale, i am told, the business gets the other half. in one day that Goupon sold 4,000, giving the local Goupon branch a nice $20,000 gross for its effort. the liquor store had to offer up to $80K in product to fulfill the 4,000 deals that were sold, which netted the store $20K. i'm guessing it was a break even proposition, at best. perhaps people became loyal to the no-frills liquor store, but i bought the deal, and i have never been back, not did i spend anything significant over the value of that $20 voucher.</i>)

but i'm sure there are people who come to a business to take advantage of a coupon and love the place so much that they come back and pay full price again and again. maybe it's more than i think. perhaps lots of formerly comped low rollers at Orleans are now happily paying for rooms every time they return to Sin City.

maybe that's why Orleans is offering deals to new players and those who haven't been there for over a year. perhaps we semi-regulars need to stay away for a year or more in order to offered the perk once again.

all i know is that if i'm going to pay, i'm going to shop around. if Orleans offers me two free weeknights, they gain it back, and then some.

Thanks for the insight Clown Ho that kind of makes sense. Maybe I will stay away from the Orleans for a year or so and see if the offers return. Then maybe I will go back. The tone of the response I received from the Orleans host didn't impress me. Not very friendly.

I agree the staff I have dealt with at the Orleans are pretty good and I can't complain about the way I was treated by them. I have stayed there 4 times in the last year and earned several thousand card point and slot points. If that doesn't warrant the 2 free nights that everyone else and their dog is getting then it's time to take my business elsewhere. I was going to stay there in the summer but won't be now.

The Boyd Group will be happy, either way. Both are decent near strip casinos.

I got the two day Orleans offer, but only a reduced rate Gold Coast offer. I don't take it as a personal affront but rather a business decision by each casino based on many factors.

One thing you may or may not be aware of is the fact that Boyd assigns you a "home casino". CET does as well (my casino is Flamingo - I have no idea why) but this assignment doesn't matter with CET comp offers. With Boyd, it does.

You typically get more offers from your "home casino". Boyd has The Orleans as my home casino (they transferred Stardust players to The Orleans) and downtown it's Fremont (though I'm now getting California offers after playing there last trip - hopefully that will continue). You can request they change your home casino and if your play warrants it, you will get more / better offers.

I typically take longer trips (up to 2 weeks, though some time is typically spent outside of the Vegas Valley) and I like to juggle comp offers with Boyd, CET, Stations (though those dried up this year) and paid for rooms for 2-4 night stays at a few properties.

One advantage for Boyd over CET and MGM is the fact you can book back to back trips within their casino at different areas (i.e. one stay downtown followed by GC/Orleans or ST/SC - you can't have two consecutive downtown stays). At CET and MGM, you typically are required to have a three day off period between stays at different casinos within their respective casino groups.

I sure don't seem to be getting any offers from Boyd lately even though I have been gambling exclusively in their casinos the past couple of years. Maybe I should stop gambling at their casinos for a year or so and then I will start getting offers again. I 've been trying a couple of time to update my address online and keep getting "a Boyd rep will be contacting you soon". All I am trying to do is spell my city properly!

Last year I really increased my play at the Gold Coast and I still only get 2 days comped. Should I book another day and ask for a host to comp it? I have usually a loss there.

Never go a comp offer @ Boyd but I do get discounted room offers sometimes. There does not appear to be any logic to comp rewards. I play a couple of grand in table games @ Borgata AC for instance. My MIL a couple of hundreds in slots. She got Christmas 2012 free nights and I did not. Go figure. :Þ
