Wednesday Report: Started bad, got better

Found out my flight was delayed because on an earlier leg of the flight there was a medical emergency and the plane got diverted. Hope everyone was ok.

Nevertheless, it meant I got into vegas an hour late. Jump off the plane in the B terminal, walk to the baggage level where the terminal exits and look for my driver. nobody holding my name. OK, so I look around. I walk past the baggage carousel for Nashville, thinking he or she might look for me there. Nobody holding my name. Walk around the entire baggage area and still don't find anybody! So I finally call the hotel and they tgell me the driver is looking for me. I tell them where I am and ten minutes later the driver comes running up out of breath. Whatever. I'm annoyed, but don't show it.

Checkin goes well. Very nice young lady who is a former basketball player checks me in. We talk hoops for a bit and I promised her I would come back by this evening and let her know if I wagered on Michigan (her team).

Throw the bags upstairs and realize I have just enough time to place some sports bets and eat a meal before a scheduled conferfence call with a west coast client. I wager on Michigan and Gonzaga minus the points (I will try and add a pic later). Most of the NCAA lines I saw last time were pretty spot on by my estimation. Still, I have just enough action going today to keep me interested.

Then I walk over to Mizuya for some quick sushi. The sushi bar is full so they seat me at a table. I tell my server that I have to be back in my room in 50 minutes and I order immediately. She seems on top of things and rushes off with my order. Fast forward 40 minutes, I'm starving and there is no sign of any food. I finally flag down my waitress and she tells me they haven't even started my order yet! WTF! If you knew it was going to take that long, why didn't you tell me when I sat down and said I was on a schedule! Grrrrrrrr!

So I leave and head back upstairs. I eat some quick junk off the mini-bar and start my phone call. Doesn't go as well as I had hoped, so I am a bit steamed. so fo course what is the solution, go gamble, lol. Probably not a good idea to gamble when I am hungry, tired, and steamed, but hey, its Vegas. Fortunately, it worked out.

Hit the craps table and played for forty-five minutes. Another great run! I shot twice and hit multiple points each time! The second time I shot, I hit the All Tall ($350 for me, whoo-hoo) and I was a snake eyes away form the ALL! And it really hurt because I hit five threes during my roll! The rest of the time, I was on the don't and I think only one person hit a point. So I redeem my marker, color up, and pocket $52oo profit! Now its off to the high limit room for baccarat.

There are only two bac tables open and one is reserved. There's a young couple at the open table and I join them. Goes well and I make a qwuick two grand. Then two jerks come and join the table. These guys were the kind of players that bitched and moaned about everything. Then we get a relief dealer that clearly does not want to be there. overall, the experience was fading fast, so I stopped after one shoe up a total of $1100 at the table.

Then it was off to bed. Got a little over five hours sleep and I am waiting on some room service breakfast now. Once I woof that down, I am likely to hit the tables downstairs for a while and then head over to Wynn mid-day to open a new credit line and play a little there.

    Will post more later!

Whoops, should have said. I'm at Mandalay Bay. Got a skyvue suite with a nice view of the pool complex. I forgot just how many pools are there! Plus there's a nice view of the dayclub pool they are building

    Thursday Part One:

    The Hot Streak Continues!!!

So after breakfast, I went straight to the craps tables. It was still barely after 8, so the tables were not busy. Found a table with only one other player and very soon I had it to myself. Nice little run, played for an hour and made $5200. Mostly played and shot from the don't. There was only one instance of more than one point being hit while I was on the don't. So it definitely went well.

After that< I decided I would run over to Wynn to see my new host and sign for my credit line. MB told me it would be at least half an hour before they could have a limo available to transport me, which was fine. I hit up the high limit room.

I've been a little disappointed in the MB dealers. In the past, they have been exceptionally friendly. The bac dealer this morning was not surly like the gentlemen last evening, but he was not exactly friendly either. Didn't matter, I only plasyed one and a half shoes, made about $1000 and holted for the Wynn.

Once I get to the Wynn, I find out the host that wanted to give me a tour was not available. Whatever, doesn;t really matter. I just open up my credit line and hit the high limit bac area. The Wynn limits have always seemed very arbitrary to me. Probably because I don't play there enough to notice a pattern. In any event, the high limit bac tables have $300 minimums and I sit down and start playing at $400 a hand. Goes incredibly well! Three shoes later (and two monster Player runs!) I'm cashing out with $11k of Steve Wynn's money! Yes! Thanks, Steve-O.

Call the MGM limo to come back and get me. I wait at the main entrance to the Wynn and enjoy the weather. It is near-perfect! Love Vegas this time of year. Twenty minutes later, the limo shoes up and drops me off at Luxor to grab some lunch. Eat a quick meal at T&T while I notice that my early sports bets have not gone well (uh-oh). Well, at least I have Steve's money to make up for it.

Now I'm back in the room bordering on food coma. Think I will hit the tables for a couple more hours, then come back to the room and chill for an hour before my MGM tour (hope that host shows!). So far for the trip, up approximately $24k! Yesssss! More to come later....

Looks like a good trip so far! One question, how did you like the Wynn dealers compared to the MB? I always found them to be a little friendlier, but it might be my imagination...

I have already made 5 bets that UK will make it to final four next year. Would be nice to get Cauley-Stein and Poythress back for another year. If Goodwin comes back UK will have 8 players drafted next year.

    GL on your trip!

I don't play much at Wynn, but I havr found the bac dealers there to be very friendly. The craps dealers, not as much. It makes me wonder, after that stuff in the news a year or so ago about a group of cheaters sliding dice at the Wynn, I think their craps dealres got a lot more serious

OK, only a very quick update, because I am exhausted. It has been crazy up and down betting since yesterday afternoon. Made a comeback in the sportsbook (thanks Syracuse!) and seemed to consistently alternate between winning a few grand and losing a few grand since last night. I gambled way too late, could not sleep, and I am operating on three hours sleep. The good news, I am up a few thousand more. The better news, I am about to take a nap!

Did you ever go back and get the sushi from that restaurant with the horrible service? Or are you just done with them for eternity? That'd make me really pissed off if they pulled that crap!

Unfortunately, yes. Last night I met KellyVegas and her husband and after watching some basketball, I was starving and the sushi bar was right in front of me. Slightly better service this time, but I was still a bit disgruntled

OK, I know everybody seems to enjoy the roller coaster ride reports, so here is a quick doozy:

After the last post this afternoon, I went downstairs and placed some more basketball bets and then hit the craps table. One of the dealers who knows how I play warned me that the table was hot. Always ignoring that advice, I immediately bet my typical don't with full odds. Ten minutes and five points later, I have lost $8400. No problem, I say. I will got bet large at baccarat and win it back. Uh oh. You see where this gamblers logic is going.

So I hit the high limit room, get them to raise the limit on the table, take out a marker for $30k, and start playing real fast. Forty hands into the shoe and I have lost $26k of my marker! Yikes! I'm starting to think how much this sucks, but reminding myself that it is all house money. Although I am getting close to giving back everything I've won this week.

Then it turns! I'm not even sure how. There was one decent run of banker (six in a row) where I was pressing somewhat. I guess that's all it takes. I got the $26k back, hung around for another two shoes, and left the table with another $24k of house money!! Yes!!!!

Now I'm back in the room, about to clean up, and realizing that I need to slow it down for the remainder of the trip. Will probably head downstairs in just a bit to see KellyVegas and her husband (they have the high rolling loveseat in the sportsbook!!) and then grab dinner. Tomorrow will mostly be filled with spa time and then I check out at 3:30. So hopefully I cannot get into too much trouble....

Nice comeback. Had me scared there for a minute!
How much are you up? Do you have any goals/ targets you want to hit? Or are you just going to play until you had enough?
Enjoy your last day and be careful
