Perhaps I've missed a Thread on the Board about the new dinning establishment and if so, i apologize. And while I'm not giving a plate by plate seminar, I feel compelled to say that it was awesome. Expensive, but awesome. Every portion/serving was top notch and I would higly reccomend it to everyone!

What did you have and if you don't mind me asking how much was your meal? Was it for 2? Did you have drinks or a bottle of wine? Thanks!

Sure. As for food, i started with a kobe steak and a lobster taco. They were tiny but delicious. I sampled a roll w/ spicy tuna. And then I had kobe fried rice and a kobe steak which they brought out for me to finish cooking over hot rocks after they poured a flamining liquid (brandy i think) over it and a bed of rock salt. Really cool. As for wine, yes, a 1985 Italian rated 100. Total cost was roughly $6300. THe food wsa $440 i think and the rest went to the wine. Casino paid; begrudgenly. All of the casinos are tightening up everywhere they can and its quite irritating and will cause me to play less the more they do it.

Those are nice selections. I'll add based on eating/drinking several times at both NOBU locations here you should also try the miso black cod and jalapeno yellowtail (very good with cocktails). I know they're not very unique dishes anymore but they do them well. Tellafriend with the comps you get you could do omakase in addition to the rest of your order. I don't think theirs is worth doing as your main meal but its worth as a side thing for a couple of people to pick at (especially for free).

What is the lounge like there? Is it just a bar or is there a proper lounge area with couches and low tables? You can't tell from the website pic.

I've never hear of Omakesse? What is it? Everything there was really expensive but worth it so therefore to me it doesn't matter. Particuarly when i'm not paying anyway

omakase translates "chef do what you want". it's usually some kind of tasting menu often with special stuff that's not on the menu. definitely the best way to go in any sushi restaurant if you want the best. chefs will often go overboard to bring you special stuff just to impress you because you left it in their hands.
