To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what would be just under upscale and I'm not talking about a cafe. Example, Mon Ami Gabi would be just under upscale and Gordon Ramsay Steak would be?

Ballys steakhouse is very good, whereas I would rate GR high end

I agree with bot but a bit more with the steakhouse. Very nice but just under upscale.

CET lacks, in my opinion, those just lower then fine dining spots, without it being a burger joint. Mon Ami Gabi would be one, but I'm hard pressed to come up with another that isn't at the higher end price point.

Le Provençal, in the hallway between Ballys and Paris is another favorite of mine and I try to hit it once each trip.

I would throw Raos into the mix.

I agree this is really nice but it doesn't seem to get much love on this board.
We always eat here on our last night since we take a late night flight out and prefer to stay in the hotel.

They have a great Prix Fixe dinner early in the evening and then the regular menu later on.....

La Provincal is listed by CET as "upscale." They used to have one list of all CeT property restaurants that you could aort by style or price, but I can't find it now. Listed on each hotels websites are the following, considered "casual," but not "quick bites." (this is not an exhaustive list)

    Gordon Ramsey Pub
    Central
    Serendipity 3
    Hyakumi
    Beijing Noodle No. 9
    Munchbar
    Gordon Ramsey Burgr
    Yolos
    PF Chang's
    Le Burger Brasserie
    Sugar Factory
    Mon Ami Gabi
    Carlos n' Charlies
    KJ Dim Sum
    KGB
    Oyster Bar
    Ming's Table
    Toby Keith's
    Ichiban
    Sea
    Ginsing 3
    Hash House a Go Go

I tried to leave out the standRd cafes and, obviously, some of these places are nicer than others. I'd love to get a better idea of which of the listed "upscale" restaurants is on the lower end of that scale, which is, I think, what the OP was asking...
