Any one been there yet. I hear it is quite the poker room. Plus $2 hr comps. The pictures and video I have seen look great. Heading there Sunday night. With most poker rooms disappearing or shrinking it is really nice to see the Sands Corp. making this move. :drunk:

They have not called it the "Sands" poker room before, did they?

I'm curious about this room as well so would be interested in your take of the room.

You're correct that they didn't use the name "Sands" for the poker room until after the remodel.

Same location as it always been?

Over the bridge, in the doors and immediately to the left?

I played poker at the Venetian over the Christmas holiday. It's the same location as before. I like the Venetian poker room, it's comfortable, the dealers are good and it's a good vibe. It's a big room.

I played a tournament in here on Sunday night... First time I'd been back in here since the remodel. Here are my impressions:

    • The room seems to have gotten much bigger. It was already a relatively large poker room, but now it's massive. I'd guess it is 50% bigger - expanded straight out to take up more of the main casino floor. The table numbers went as high as 50 or 60 - so there are a LOT of tables in here.
    • The drink service on Sunday night was lightning fast. There was rarely a moment I had a half-empty glass. Kudos for getting this right. The CW's were getting tipped well by me and others - for being so attentive and quick.
    • The staff at the desks (not cashiers) seemed so busy they were outright rude - both to customers, and to other dealers/staff in front of customers. Maybe it was a bad day/night for some reason, but I've never seen the staff in a poker room act like these cats did. The only bad thing I can say about the room. Maybe since they've gotten so big they need some more help running it in there?
