More power to those that can do this. Just like the climb up the Empire State Bldg this week. I get winded thinking about it.

    What stairs are they climbing?

I am pretty sure the tower itself doesn't have any stairwells....

They have to have stairwells for emergency escape.

"The climb is one which only emergency personnel, fire fighters or police get to experience as they use the Stratosphere for training"

    and

"Water stations are set up near registration and up on the top observation deck when you complete the climb. Water will also be available at 3 interim stations on the 26th, 52nd and 101st floors"

I read somewhere that the emergency exits to the ground were ladders. Three 250 foot wells. -which makes sense why the water stations would be on the 26th and 52nd floor.

I just can't imagine them letting the public in to climb them (seems dangerous)

I'd like to see a picture of the actual climb.

I found an interesting article a few years back that had all sorts of neat info about the stratosphere and all the emergency equipment and another things like that...
