I will be heading out to Vegas witha bunch of guys in mid april. Staying at the Cosmopolitan. We already are committed to one night dinner at Bartolatta up at the Whynn and another at Binions Steakhouse downtown. So we are looking for a nice Italian place near the Cosmo that won't cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions?

Try Sirio at Aria. Short walk from Cosmo, good food at a decent price

As mentioned here, both Sirio and Trevi are great choices. I also enjoy Maggiano's in the Fashion Show mall right across from The Wynn. It's not right next to Cosmo, but not far - the prices are very good, the food is delicious and the portions are generous. If you can get a table in the back by the windows, you can have a fantastic view of the Strip while you eat.

Onda at Mirage. If you don't mind hopping a cab, Piero's or La Scala by/near the Convention Center or perhaps the sleeper in town, Fellini's at Strat.

If you want to walk, you can't beat Onda, even if you have to cab in from Dallas.

Casa di Amore on Tropicana a couple miles east of the strip offers a FREE limo ride, as long as reservations are made over the phone in advance.

The food is pretty good there, too.

I second Casa di Amore. We eat there every trip to Vegas. Great food at very reasonable prices.

I would second Trevi. Great food, fairly reasonable, great for people-watching.

    Nonas on Flamingo

In 6000 block ,need a cab or car. Popular with locals ,NY-NJ transplants.Good food, service, full bar.In a strip mall next to a smoke shop if you want to grab a stogie or you need a bong or a crack pipe at the last minute.Lady in there is very nice, gave me some free samples(had a rep there ,free cigars).

I believe you mean NORA'S at 6020 W Flamingo. Based on prior recommendations, three of us went there for dinner last July We came away very disappointed and we all thought it was very mediocre.

We never had anything but great food during our six or eight trips to Nora's. In other words, it ain't no Battista's! lol

Yeah, but you can do Maggiano's anywhere. When I'm in Las Vegas, I want something VEGAS, not something, good as it may be, that you can find in most larger cities.

Thanks for all the replies. I agree on Maggiano's - I like it but I can do it back home in Philly.

I think we have decided on CasaDiAmore. It sounds like an old time Vegas experience and the free limo is a nice addition. It gives a good balance to our other dinners for the week:

    Tuesday Koi
    Wednesday CasaDiAmore
    Thursday Bartollata
    Friday Binion's Steakhouse.

Japanese, Italian, Seafood and Steak. Should cover most fo the food groups! :licklips:

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
