Ok, so I started playing today with around 20K and managed to play Lucky Birds all day at 200 per spin and only varried up and down 5K-10K for 6 hours or more. Then all of the sudden the game went ice cold for a solid hour and a half and took me down to zero. Should that even happen? Anybody else have similar experiences?
yeah it happens all the time, just like gambling in a casino. I got my chips over 200k and played birds and Excalibur mostly. Once I did that I got up to over a million at one point, but never back below 200k before I cashed in my lp's. Probably played on that 200k with chips i got each day, for over 2 weeks straight!
BTW, if I ever went on a cold streak of a even 10-15 mins I would shut the game off and open it back up. It usually always fixed the cold streaks for me.
All of the games took a major downswing for me the past couple of days. I am spending 25-30K on the game and never getting a bonus more than 1K (at least on Excal). The free spin icon doesn't come up nearly as often and I played on Sunday for over an hour and only hit two bonus plays (one knights and one princess). I switched over to Birds yesterday and went from 60K to nothing in just a couple hours (playing 200 a hand). I wasn't getting the bird bonus barely at all. I have tried the new 80 days games three times and every time it has taken a huge number of chips and just payed me back a couple thousand. I do wonder if I am just catching them at bad times or if they have tightened them up in an effort to get people to start buying chips.
I tried that as well as changing up the game I was playing, etc. Nothing worked for me. But since I am heading to Vegas tomorrow anyway, I just kept trying and letting the LPs build up.
To me it doesn't feel "just like gambling in a casino". Maybe I didn't state it right. Throughout a 6hr stretch I would slowly go up or down or stay near even. I dipped as low as 10K and climed as high as 30k but all very slowly. About 1.5 hours before I was broke it was around 25K, and then the bottom just fell out! Seems fishy to me. Edited: I do think you are right jetskigrl, I think they tightened up. I also think the games aren't as random as casino slot machines are supposed to be. I think they are tinkered with to get a desired result and not just on a macro (i.e. changing odds) but on a per player scale (as in making sure the house wins in the relatively short run and not just the long run). This can be demostrated if you try and use a Martingale system to beat BJ which should be absolutely possible with such large bankrolls and limits.
Today I started with $37k and after an hour got up over $200k....in the next 15 min time frame...all the way back down to $100k betting 3000 a spin on Excal and 80 days....seems really hot and then all of a sudden ice cold! One thing about Excal tho...it seems to produce the most "v" symbols for resort building.
It seems my chips at Lucky Birds have been going much faster the last few days and the bonus seems to come up much less frequently. Still having fun and have enough points for what I initially wanted for my July trip, guess I will keep playing and see if I can better what I was hoping for.
not to get TOO off topic, but in reading this, and other, posts about the different games in MyVegas, I wonder why nobody ever mentions Bet The Farm. I built my bankroll up from 60k to about 1.7m over a span of a few months, playing only that game. It seems to pay out the best bonuses, which seem to pop up quicker than any of the ones in any of the other games. I'm just wondering why nobody seems to like Bet The Farm??
I play bet the farm, but I find it pretty streaky too. Then again, I don't want to spend a lot of time on it, so the bet is often fairly large.
