Gustav's in the Paris - best VP bar in Vegas, IMO.

    vp bar

We really like Sully's Bar at Bally's. It can be really noisy because of Indigo lounge, but the bartenders there are great. They will recommend all kinds of drinks. We do play full coin though.
Also like Wayne's bar (the casino bar by the south tower.) He makes a mean Raspberry cosmo.

I agree with both of these. Is Wayne's Bar a nickname you use for the Casino Bar or is that it's real name? I've always wondered why it was just "The Casino Bar".

In any case, we had fantastic service from friendly bartenders and some pretty good luck to boot when we hung out there in Dec.

I like the one next to the sports book in Caesars, expecially during a big game, it's fun.

    Favorite one

For batender and drinks I found this small stand alone VP bar at Cesaras near the Showdow bar. The bar tender was opening all kinds of different whiskey bottles for me to try. Comp of course.
    The bar had no name.

Won the most at the American Grill bar at Rio. Ate a meal while playing.

I also have to recommend Gustav's bar since they often have one of my favorite beers on tap, Sierra Nevada! Also it usually provides a good view of the dancers nearby. :licklips:

I also like Sin City Brew Co. at Flamingo, but only for the beer as it is off the main casino floor. :(

And unfortunately, good VP at CET is an oxymoron. I don't recall Gustav's bar having JoB (if it did it didn't pay well, so I didn't play it). It did have 8/5 DDB, but I didn't play that since that only pays 96.79% with 5 coins. I chose to play the oft-overlooked 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus instead which pays 97.67% with max bet. 4 Aces with a max bet is always worth 1200 credits, and 4 2-4s is worth 600 credits. Strategy is pretty close to DDB, but it now becomes worth breaking a full house if you have 3 2s, 3s, or 4s, as well as normally breaking 3 Aces.

    DDB strategy:

If we get to the Strip I really enjoy Gustav's at Paris. I don't know why, it's terrible VP pay tables, but I just enjoy the entire ambiance of Paris and that bar.

My vote goes to Sully's Bar. Great friendly bartenders in the middle of the action in Bally's casino.

Having said that, I would rather play 9/6 DDB at the Casino Royale bar with the ********* if I have to play VP on the strip.

margaritaville, without question, if your goal is to be served multiple drinks by nice cocktail servers as fast as you want to drink them. the music is what you would assume it to be in margaritaville, so if you like that, you can overlook the smaller selection of machines.

    Wayne's bar

    Suekel,
It is actually called the casino bar. However, Wayne works the evening shift Mon-Fri, & as we have been going there for years, we just call it Wayne's bar, as do many customers! He is very personable, and makes excellent drinks. The employees at Bally's are what makes this hotel so good!

My wife really liked a VP bar in Paris the last time we were there (labor day.) I don't know the name of the bar, but they have the big slushy machines right there in the wall. My wife loved the pina coladas. So if you want slushy drinks, it might be your spot.

The VP was standard 8/5 that you see on most bartops.

Another vote for Sully's. Love the location.

I also like the bar at Caesars near the poker room. The one with the aquarium. Fun spot, nice views.

My vote is for Sully's at Bally's and Gustav's and Le Cabaret at Paris. I play TBP+ at Sully's and Gustav's and DDB at Le Cab (which is a lot of fun around midnight till 2 when all the drunk people try to dance and take each other home). M-F nights there are two bartenders at Paris, Darren and DeWayne, who provide breaks for the other bartenders, they are awesome!! I usually just play where they are.

So how about the machines at the bar at Ballys? Have you gotten a Royal or any big wins there?
