I come to Vegas 4-6 times a year and have done so for the past ten years or so. My play is usually pretty consistent. Mostly tables with some $5 WOF slots.

Life many, I stopped going to Venetian when they cut back on comps. I've now been there on my last two trips and am really impressed at their "generosity." I just booked another trip (again comp rooms and match play) for President's Weekend.

At the same time, Mlife has been very unkind to me. I use to receive comp rooms for any night. Usually a little food and coin with that. Now, I'm just getting an occasional free room mid-week.

I continue to find CET and Treasure Island consistent. I still get the same from them as always.

And yes, I know I should concentrate my play better but I like diversity.

Just decided to go to Vegas mid-month. Grazie was the only place I could get three nights for free. I was a critic of theirs a few months ago but color me a big fan now.

I stopped going to V/P because of their intended cutback on offers. I get comp rooms at MLife and CET properties, and I was going to attempt to go to V/P more often until their cutbacks. Have not heard of them increasing their offers for sure though. I will be holding out from V/P until I know for sure. Good to know you are getting offers, so at least it hasn't completely dried up.

I hear the complaints, but I haven't been to Vegas in over a year (My granpa baby sitting job, has finally ended), but had No Problem getting 3 nights at Bellagio, with some free play added in. Although the three days are not on a weekend, they could have been, just didn't fit my other arrangements.

***PLUS*** with my MyVegas, sitting at home, not spending a dime, my wife and I have both exchanged for a Mirage Buffet, I exchanged for a Bellagio lunch buffet for two, and we both have 75,000+ apiece (and counting) loyalty points that we can trade in now, or when we are in Vegas, for more buffets, Food credit, shows etc.

I have never been treated so well!

Personally I see no reason to put more money in Sheldon Addelson's pockets at the Venetian.

I have been receiving more V/P offers again. Had one reserved for December but ended up going Cosmo instead and did not regret it. I have trouble trusting V/P after they pulled existing reservations in the past.

The offers I have been receiving have been offered later than in the past, more focused on certain times, and less predictable/flexible. My play has not decreased, but some large play I had over 3 years ago may have fallen off causing a decrease in how I am viewed by the casinos. Also I believe occupancy is up in the hotels so they are less desperate to give out rooms---most of the time.

There seems to be an overall shift in focus from gaming to other kinds of spend. It seems like the days of easy comps and good gaming conditions have been replaced by $17 drinks and clubgoers.

Unless I can learn to dance to hip-hop, my Vegas days are likely numbered.

With V/P, I am trusting them as long as the offers keep coming. Despite not changing my level of play, I'm not getting much of anything from Mlife. Venetian is sending me free nights 7 days a week and match play.

(I'm a BJ player and a touch of Wheel of Fortune)...

With your adaptiveness, I highly doubt you are going to fail at fitting in. Besides a drunk BeeJay in a club, what could go wrong....
