Here in Holland we have roulette tables but most of them are often full so they've come up with something very useful. They've hung a camera above the table and you can sit somewhere else in the casino where they have touch screens where you can also bet.

My wife likes to play roulette but not at a table with others so this "invention" is very handy for her. I find the "repeat bet-button" or clear all bets button useful.

Anyway do they have the same thing in Vegas or only real tables?

I'm open to correction here but I have never seen such a thing in Vegas myself as when a table is full - It's full.

There is always the option of playing the auto wheels by solo machine or sitting around a 10-12 player (guessing the exact amount of seats) pit which some people like as its not all close up and personal.

We have something exactly like that but it's not for overflow of a table. It's called Rapid Roulette. It has a croupier spinning the ball on a regulation roulette wheel but it's in a pit surrounded by a dozen or so stations with touch video display where you slide your money in like a slot, place your bets on a screen and watch the roll, the payoff comes in the form of credit in your account at your station, with recall, clear, undo buttons, even a tip button to tip the croupier.

What you are talking about is "TouchBet Roulette" and no, there are no casinos in Las Vegas that have that.

However, there are other options if she doesn't want to play at the table or wants to use a betting terminal:

Rapid Roulette: Each player gets to sit at his/her own betting terminal and place bets. This game still uses a dealer: they handle player buy ins and cash outs as well as actually spinning the ball around the wheel. You will find this game at most Caesars Entertainment/Total Rewards properties and a few others still have it but most of them are phasing it out for newer machines that don't require dealers to operate.

Bally's Video Roulette: This one looks like a slot machine and you can find it at most MGM properties amongst the slots. The screen is a large roulette layout with a graphical representation of a roulette wheel up top. The advantage of this one is that you play it by yourself, not with other players, so that means you can play at your own pace (when you are ready to play you hit the "SPIN" button) and you can sometimes find these at really low denominations (there is a casino downtown where you can play this with 5 cent chips)... the disadvantage is that on a lot of these if you stick to the lower denominations they use a different pay table. IE: normally a straight up bet pays 35 to 1, on some of these with a higher house edge the straight up bet pays 32 or 33 to 1.

Roulette Revolution: This is a really basic electronic roulette set up by IGT. It is a group game where players get their own betting terminal (usually 6 or 8) and sit around a large video screen that will have a graphical version of a wheel when the ball is spun. You can find this at most MGM properties.

Organic Roulette: This is probably the nicest looking of the lot and has the best betting terminal screens for ease of use and how they look. This set up has an actual wheel in the middle that is run entirely electronically and players sit around the wheel at their own betting terminal. You can find this at some MGM properties.

With the names of these games you can probably just use Google Images to find photos of what they each look like and what their betting screens look like.

As it is, you should be able to find an electronic roulette game, one of the ones listed above, at almost every casino in Las Vegas. Which one (or ones, because some casinos may have more than just one of the above) they have depends on the casino, IE: Total Rewards (Caesars Entertainment) casinos only carry Rapid Roulette whereas the MGM casinos could have two or three of the above machines in the casino somewhere.

I think rapid roulette will do just fine. Thanks for the replies!
