Has anyone on here done the zip lining on Fremont street? The wife and I were looking into it, just wondered if it was even worth the time?

It's a great deal of fun, especially if you have friends on the ground who can take video and enjoy it with you. Recommend going in the daytime hours, when it is cheaper and lines are much shorter. Not sure what happened to their plans to make it higher and longer.

It is fun, definitely go earlier in the day, We bought our tickets at 5:30 (half hour before the price increase) and waited in line for over an hour to get on.
You can make reservations for a certain time, go gamble or whatever and come back and you get to cut the line.

haven't done it yet but plan to in a couple of weeks. I did read on vegas chatter that they were going to make a zipline from Excalibur to Luxor and back..about 3 different lines and they will be higher

    Hello :)

Has anyone done the ziplining at Fremont Street? How is it??

We are heading to Vegas in February and was thinking of taking my BF ziplining for his birthday :)

    Thanks,

I haven't done it.......too old and too fat. However, everyone I've watched seemed to be having a great time and almost all of the feedback here has been good. There was talk of expanding it on Fremont but havent heard anymore about that.

I didn't notice a huge line when we were there last. We were in a bit of a rush that night and I didn't end up doing it. It is highlighted on my list of things to do next trip. Looked pretty tame but fun. I will have to do it with the lights on, though.

Does it feel like being on a roller coaster? I hate roller coasters but I want to zipline. Any feedback?

I love steel suspension rollercoasters and ziplining (on the longer ziplines) but to me they aren't the same feeling. Rollercoasters provide a significant amount of vertical forces (especially those coasters with vertical loops) with a horizontal and/or corkscrew components. The ziplines have a vertical component with mostly straightline horizontal forces. The ziplines don't have the mechanical "bumpiness" I've experienced on many wooden rollercoasters.

It was operating on December 15th when I was there. They had moved the original launch tower closer towards the Fremont canopy so they could put the new tower in it's place. Not sure how much longer the current one will run during the construction phase, tho. The new one will be much higher and will actually start above the canopy and come down through an opening they are cutting into it (which sounds a little crappy).
