I've received offers from all of the properties one time or another, but I'm not entirely certain what my current offers are, since the website seems to only be showing me some of them (MGM, Mirage), not others (Bellagio, Aria). I have received e-mailed offers from B and A over last month or two, so I'm not sure why some show up and some don't.

    In any case...

My play seems to be enough to qualify me for a room anywhere, and varying levels of limited food comps. A reasonable guess at average bet for me is in the $300 range. If I'm on a good run, I go higher. I play some mix of bacc, craps, and roulette. My averages on bacc are likely to be higher than the others - it's not uncommon for me to bet $500 for extended periods.

(Sidenote: I'm convinced that they underrate my play, because whenever I check into it, the times and amounts seem a little less than I would expect. Where my true average for a given session might have been $300 for 2.5 hours, it seems like they have me in the system at $225 for 1.75 hours. I tip very well - often I'm the only person tipping at all - and I treat the crew with a lot of respect and friendliness. I try to check on ratings when I leave the table, but I'm never sure it even gets inputted... When I discuss ratings with the bosses and hosts, it becomes quickly apparent that I understand the math better than they do.)

So what I'm really asking is - which property should be my home?

What I really appreciate about a property is:

    - the niceness of the room - More in terms of quality than size. I want the nicest possible shower, the best technology, the best furnishings. I realize my play isn't going to qualify me for a Skyloft. I don't need the butler. But I want the steam shower.
    - location
    - good service
    - ease of navigation
    - games I actually want to play

I've put in a lot of time at MGM. It's a good property. I like their restaurants, their pool, their spa. I hate their location. I also have been underwhelmed with their service. If anyone wants, I can PM them with a list of hilarious service issues I've encountered there. I've gone through three hosts because two of them have stopped working there. They usually give me a suite. My significant other likes it, but I don't really need the space for anything.

I like to play at Bellagio. I enjoy their bacc room, their craps pit, and their service in general. But I've never stayed there, and I'm not certain yet what level of room I'd get there. I like their restaurants and location, but the mood there seems stuffier; less friendly than the MGM.

Aria is beautiful. But the inside is dark; the smell puts me to a combination of nausea and drowsy. The casino seems low energy and it's pitifully far away from the Strip.

And Mirage...just seems lower down the list in terms of niceness.

If you were me, how would you proceed? Would you call your MGM host and ask what he can do? Would you call hosts at the B and A (which I don't currently have, since I've never stayed at either), and see what they can do? Would you call MGM's VIP reservations number and ask them about offers?

Which one would you call your home, and why?

Sound like by what you value, Aria and B are going to be your best bets. For quality of room, it's those two places, then everything else. $300 average bet should be fine to get those comps.

Well first of all let me say that I'm probably playing at your level or a little above...call me crazy but I call Hotel32/Monte Carlo my home. Let me tell you why.

First I'm a big fish (notice I didn't say whale) in a little pond. This gets me anything or just about anything I want at Monte Carlo. I'm put in a nice room either a Loft Suite or a Pent. My host treats me VERY well, I get my food comped out at around $800 a day for two. I've never pushed it past this so I'm not sure what would happen. I get the usual Limo service, bypass everyone else at check in an got right upstairs to VIP check in. I have a suite host (butler), pre-stocked fridge with my favorite drinks (beer and Ketel One), cranberry juice. Tickets to any show that I want, anytime I want. This is just some of the things that I'm gratefully afforded.

So I chose the route of being the big fish in the little pond, rather than the smaller fish in a very large pond (Bellagio, Aria). I get more personalized service and that is what I like. Yes I forgo the very nice casino floors but I don't care, I like the atmosphere and it works for me. That is my two cents on the subject...good luck and I hope you find a new home that works for you.

I decided to give Hotel32 a shot earlier this year. He wound up placing me in a Suite, not a Loft. For clarity - the Suite is basically a regular room, but just bigger (similar to what I'd get at the MGM), whereas the Loft is an actual real suite. I think when you said Suite, you probably meant Loft, especially if you get Pents sometimes.

In other words, I gave them a shot and they blew it.

The casino itself blows, unfortunately. Which would be fine, I would just play at Aria and Bellagio, which are connected and/or a tram away. But I tend to like to play with front money as opposed to a CL, and the front money doesn't move easily from property to property. It's a hassle that has sometimes taken upwards of 2 hours. In summary, I prefer to stay somewhere I'd actually want to play, and MC is a dump.

That being said, we really enjoyed Hotel32 as a concept; the room was nice, the shower was wonderful, and the suite assistant got us great tickets for a show. (The same guy that everyone raves about - he was superbly nice).

Unfortunately, since the casino itself was a dump, I hardly played there that trip, and spent about half my budget at the Wynn.

Ok to each his own...just thought I would give you my opinion since you asked. I stay and play there myself...but like they say different strokes for different folks. I just think some of your issue is that your level of play while honorable is not getting what you my think you deserve because Bellagio or the likes thereof is going to require a higher level of play to get you there. Again good luck....

I love HOTEL32 too. My fav place to stay and I like the eateries at the MC. I stay there 80% of my trips with a little Aria. I would stay there every time but I've had some host issues at MC. I just moved to a new host so hopefully I can be there every trip now (4x per year).

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off like that. Maybe I was there on a bad weekend or something, but the place just felt really poorly run. The craps games weren't well managed. They don't have much of a high limit room. I guess I just get a better vibe playing at places like Bellagio, Aria, and Wynn. It just seems like there's a better energy, better service, better mojo. It's all in my head I guess.

I do like the food court at the MC, because late at night, when you just want a snack, you don't necessarily want to call room service for a $30 meal. Having Rubios, Sbarro, and McDonalds there is a godsend when you're trashed at 3AM, which is a common occurrence on my trips.

The proximity to Aria (i.e. a 5 minute walk from the elevator) is also a nice bonus.

Does anyone have any sense of whether my play will get me anything at the Wynn? I've never stayed on site there, but I've thrown them some semblance of action in the past. I'm not expecting to stand out there, but a free room and a little F&B might be enough, considering the niceness of the property.

My play is very similar to yours. My last couple of stays have been at the Aria and I love it there. Your play should get you a corner suite with some F&B depending on your play. How much F&B really depends on your average bet and hours played. Big difference between being rated at $300 and being rated at $500 at this point. Same deal with playing 3 hours a day vs more at your average. You should also be able to get a Skysuite which would increase the "niceness" and service quality, but it will leave you with very little to zero F&B. But it sounds like you don't like the casino and you're not comfortable there. If I were you I wouldn't consider Aria.

Prior to my stays at Aria, I was staying at the Encore. I was playing mostly craps instead of baccarat back then and at a lower average so for what it's worth I was able to get a regular room + some F&B. My guess is that your play can probably get you the basic Tower King room/suite and not much else.

It's been a while since I stayed at Bellagio, mainly because I want a nice room and some F&B and Bellagio has some of the highest suite comp values around. If you're happy with just a Salone suite, you might find Bellagio to be a viable home for your play. If you want a better room I think you'll have to bet closer to $500.

It sounds like that the most important things to you is the "niceness" of the room/property and whether you like the casino. What I would do is to decide where you want to stay and where you want to play. You're not 100% happy at MGM so I would give the B and Wynn/Encore a try. If there are particular rooms you like and you're not sure whether you can get it comped, why not have a host bring you in, have them charge you for it, and then have your play reviewed at the end. That way you know what your play can get you and also know what a typical stay would be like.

This sounds like solid advice, and I think your comments as to my likely outcomes at each property are very much on point. I called Bellagio, and that's exactly what they offered me. I called Wynn/Encore, and that's exactly what they offered me. I have not called Aria, but I suspect that's exactly what they would have offered me.

I'm giving Wynn a try this time. The host I spoke to was energetic and friendly, and my experiences there have always been positive. They seem to have the best dealers and a reputation for quality and attention to detail. I have mixed feelings about playing outside mLife, because there are certain benefits from Platinum that I've come to appreciate, but for one trip I think it's worth it to try something new.

Next time will probably be Bellagio, so I can put them head to head and see which one I prefer.

I'm a little confused because this thread is in the comp section. Are you wanting suggestions for the best place to stay that meets your criteria, the place where you will get the most comps for your play, or something else?

I put this in comps because the question was largely directed at finding a property I'd like that would take good care of me from a comp perspective. If I were choosing strictly based on non-comp factors, my decision might have been similar, but in this case, I'm taking into account what I'd be likely to get at each property and balancing that against the pros and cons of the property otherwise.
