Where are some bartenders that provide a bit more than just simply getting you your beer and/or cocktail. I am talking about the personable bartenders, with good stories, the guy/lady behind the bar that make the time more enjoyable.

I had found one at the Range Steakhouse (Now Closing) In Larry from Cambodia. It the place was still open I would go back, simply for a few drinks, a couple appetizers and chatting with Larry.

My question is. Do you have a bartender you keep going back to in Vegas?

Although I missed him this trip, I have a special place in my heart (liver?) for Lance at Bellagio.

Eben (or something like that; I'm sadly blanking at the moment) at Petrossian inside Bellagio, and Justin at Stack inside Mirage. Both have remembered me and my drink, which is admittedly a bit uncommon, even after year-long absences. I always make it a point to go visit them whenever I'm in town.

Not in Vegas but Tex at Merriman's on Maui. Even only seeing him once every few months he remembered our names and stuff about us, was very friendly and always had a sixer of Coors Light hidden in the fridge for us.

Pete at the back bar in I.P.
I go 2-3 x's a year and he never fails to remember my drink and ask how I've been. I haven't stayed there in a long time, yet I always stop in to say hey.
I hope he's still there, in September he said that all the bartenders were put on notice that they may lose their jobs due to construction, and all the cw's were to use one backroom service area.

I tend to collect bartenders like others collect casino chips... I like to have one at each casino we visit.

You can make any bartender personable with good tips and good questions.

I've got to give him another vote. He would say things like "Your drink is looking a little watery, here's another." Or, "If you liked that drink, try this one." Or, "If this isn't the best margarita you've ever had...."

Although Kikky and I decided it was too hard to remember the best margarita ever, his would certainly land near the top of the list.

My favorite, that I first met about 35 years ago, worked at the Plaza. The day we met at his bar by the race book, he gave me a horse to bet. Anyway, the horse won and paid over $50 for $2.

Tim and I remained very good friends ever since that day. He even came to our wedding there at the Plaza. Some of VMB members have met him over the years and he treated them well.

    Here's a post I did about him:

Tom and all the bartenders at the Lounge in the MGM Signature. Outstanding, one and all.
Great ones at the M as well, can't remember the names right now.

I love the guys at Sully's at Bally's. While they can never recall my name, I feel like Norm every time I stop by, "Hi, welcome back! Absolute and Grapefruit juice, tall with a lime, right?" Gotta love that!

That's amazing, with the volume of people that they serve. I have a local bartender who went to a different bar and I didn't see for about a year. When I went to her new location she asked "Coors Light or Gin and Tonic tonight?" I think that is an impressive memory.

I'd like to find a go-to place in Vegas, but I'm always running to see as much as I can when I'm in town.
