Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the suites at the Plaza, or for any of the suites downtown? Thanks.....

I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite @ Plaza last April, 4 guys in the room. Had 2.5 bathrooms, a nice wide open common space, furniture was decent as it came from the defunct Fountainblue hotel. All of us loved it, but then again, we weren't looking for anything lavish downtown.

I agree with jman. We have stayed in several of the Plaza suites. They are spacious and comfortable. When downtown, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Also, we have never experienced any noise issues; always had a good night's sleep.

Thanks for the info....one last question, do the suites overlook Freemont Street?

I would look into the penthouse suites as well. They have great views; particularly the Derby suite (I think that is the largest PH suite).

We have never had a suite overlooking Fremont. As Fremont is covered in a canopy, I don't think it would be a particularly great view anyway.

We've had views looking down towards the Strip and views looking the other direction too. Both are interesting.

our suite was in the south tower, facing north

you could look out the windows and crane your neck to the right and see a little of Fremont (mostly the concert stage outside of Golden Gate)

Are the suites comps or are they available for rent?

We got upgraded to one by asking. I gave her $10 after she gave us the keys. We were very happy with the room.

We just got back on Monday, had a blast. We had the standard 2 queen room, it was very clean. My only complaint was the bathroom, I'm 6'3 and it was a bit small but functional.
