My son and some of his friends are going to Vegas in January. They want to stay at the Nugget because they like the pool. Will the pool be open in January?

The pool is more likely to be closed for maintenance or something like that in the winter months, but it is heated and they don't close for any particular month or season. If you are there a few days you should be able to catch it when it's open.

With any discussion of pools in Las Vegas we reach a point where it becomes important to consider that "Open" and "Fully operational" are two different things. Just because a pool states it will be "Open" does not mean it will be heated or even staffed.

If you're choosing a hotel primarily for the pool and its activities I strongly recommend you call them before you book and ask exactly what "Open" means for their pool during the time you'll be staying there.

Winter pool hours in Vegas are quite nefarious. The GN pool area will likely be open, but maybe not for swimming.

I've stayed at the GN many of times and we've stayed 2x in Nov and 1 time in Dec and each time the pool has always been open and fully operational. The 1 day we were there in the early afternoon it did rain a bit and obviously at that time it was not but the next day it was. Enjoy!!

This information was pulled directly from the GN site, so I would call as they state weather permitting, this leave allot for interpretation.

    Hours
    10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
Jacuzzi, H2O Bar, and The Hideout are open until 2:00 a.m.
Jacuzzi hours of operation: 10am to 2am. (Weather Permitting)
Hideout hours of operation: 10am to 2am. (Weather Permitting)
