I have read some previous discussion about this issue which seemed inconclusive, so let me raise it again. If I check-in to my comped CET room on Sunday and check-out on Tuesday morning, will my ADT be based on my gambling action over three days even if I do not use my TR card on Tuesday? Or do you think the TR system is sophisticated enough to account for partial play days?
I believe at CET, your ADT is impacted on any day you use your TR card. In other words, if you gamble on a day and give them your card, it registers as a day during which ADT will be calculated. Same thing will happen if you use your card to exercise some reward points, even if you never play that day. I don't believe checkin and checkout have any impact on triggering an ADT calculation. Its all based on use
If this were true, then I could accept a TR offer for a free room and do no gambling without hurting my ADT (as long as I don't use my TR card to buy anything). I doubt this is the case.
the deal is that checkout day doesn't ding you unless you play. any night that you're staying at a property with your card they know you're there and that counts towards your ADT. but unlike Mlife that just divides your total play over the number of nights you stayed, CET counts days and will add another day on checkout day if you play.
Actually, that's exactly right. if you don't play at all, it doesn;t effect your ADT. What it would effect, though, is your future offers because you will have used up some of your comps without playing any to add to it
I understand it is common for your Rewards Credits to be applied to your room charges upon check-out. Are you sure this does not trigger another gambling day for ADT calculation?
No one is sure, but it is generally believed that CET "charges" you for a day if they know you are there in the hotel, redeeming a comp, playing, or using the card for anything else. They do seem to count the number of "days" when calculating ADT rather than nights stayed as MGM does. I used to worry about this. Hosts have indicated that the last day "counts" since you are getting comps applied to your room, so even if you play very little that day you should get rated anyway. Others believe differently, but I now think it makes sense to get rated if playing on your checkout day at CET.
I have always wondered about that. And after learning about it on this forum. I would not play or play very low without my card. However I believe, some casinos do it differently. Not saying I am right but, here's 1 example: I went into a host on my 1st stay with this particular casino not a CET or M life and asked for a food comp, I was told that in addition to the food they told me since my play was increased from the past theywould probably comp me another day and the food which was small. So it seemed it was based on my amount of play and I did play the last morning. Another example was when Terrible's changed ownership they cut my comps big time and my play was within the same amount as before.
I usually have an early morning flight out, so I never play on checkout day. Since no one really knows for sure if applying RC's to your room bill "counts" as a day, I always stop by the desk the night before and have them apply RC's to my bill, if I have charges. Also saves me time in the morning as I only have to checkout online or drop the key. I've not had any problems with applying the RC's the night before departure, they have always been very friendly and accomodating. diane
They may actually evaluate by trip: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76646&highlight=cet+adt It's probably worth speaking to a host about. I have enough of a history with them that I don't worry about it. I am not looking for offers with extras and I don't stiff them. But I can understand why it matters to some.
The answer is definitely maybe...lol Nobody outside of TR knows for absolutely sure, but I believe there are long term and short term ADT's. Three year, One year, Trip (I have read this is defined as 3 days at some properties) and daily. The only thing people seem to agree on is don't put your card in if you are just going to throw a few dollars into a slot machine after you check out. I enjoy trying to play the system, but the computers laugh at me probably. It is a complicated algorithm that takes into account a lot of factors, not just daily ADT. Just play, have fun, and enjoy the comps you earn!!!
Its not the case. I'm not sure which days are counted, or how, but they do know you stayed and it affects rates if you low/no play them. But I wouldn't sweat this too much. It doesn't take too much to get something from CET compared to other strip properties, so I'd just play the way you want to and not worry about trying to max your ADT.
