I'm going to be at Bellagio with a 3-night room comp next weekend (10/18-21). Having never stayed there before, are there any rooms I should ask for or avoid? Not sure what I'll get, but I figure it can't hurt to ask, right?

If you like the Bellagio fountains, see if you can get an upgrade to a fountain view room. I have had that view and it is very nice, especially at night. There is even a TV channle that plays the fountain music so you can listen as you watch from above

gotta go for a fountain view even if it costs you an upgrade fee.

Fountain view in the main tower.....the spa tower rooms with fountain views aren't full on fountain views. Get the main tower for the best fountain view and a room on the 15th floor or above.

Thanks for the answers. I called and asked to speak with a host a few minutes ago. She said I have a deluxe (remodeled) room, but it wasn't a fountain view. I asked nicely if she could change it to a fountain view, and she said "no problem."

We'll see how everything goes when I get there, but right now, I'm happy with Bellagio!

I play craps and BJ, mostly. Depending on how I'm doing I'm usually at the $50 or higher BJ tables and any craps table that's lucky. I'm new on this board, but it'd be great to meet some of you.

We looked on their website and noticed there are Deluxe and Resort rooms and we actually liked the looks of the Deluxe rooms better. They had warmer earth tones and the Resort Rooms had the new blue colors. What is the difference in the rooms above the 15th floor? Is that just because the lower rooms can't see the fountains well?

I think, after the renovations, Bellagio are calling the main tower renovated rooms Resort rooms and the Spa Tower rooms Deluxe Rooms. I'm not sure about the relevance of 15th floor. I once had a room on 10th floor of the main tower with a decent view of the fountains (although higher is better IMO).

Now that the renovations are complete, I can see no reason at all to stay in the Spa Tower, unless quicker access to the pool and through to Aria are especially important. I liked the main tower rooms before the renovations but the renovated rooms are very nice indeed, and obviously the fountain/strip view is excellent.

Better view of the fountains, IMHO. No other reason.

I've never stayed at Bellagio, but I am in January. My research tells me that the way to go is a Tower room, as they are all remodeled, and the fountain view is much better. I have also concluded, that if you are going to stay at Bellagio, it is worth to get that fountain view.

The view in the spa tower is not better than the Bellagio (main) tower at all. It's quite the opposite.

Well, I'm mostly a slot player, but I plan to try my hand at Baccarat and Craps that weekend - too bad you are not going to be around Sunday nite, a few VMB'ers are getting together in the Baccarat bar.

Nobody recommended the Penthouse Suite King Lakeview? That's the best room.

We tried a lot of their restaurants last time cause we were on full RFB. Prime definitely a good choice. Make sure to bring a nice outfit.

Noodles is great food for a quick asian bite.

DO NOT eat at Jasmine. The food was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life, and the prices were outrageous.

Well, yes that is better than a regular room with Lakeview. But, there is the cost factor and availability.

Not all of the resort rooms are blue. I had a fountain view resort room that was done in golds. I do really recommend a fountain view room for everyone at least once. It was awesome. I was in 28-056.

Not really. That is an ok room but for 1br the lake suite and for 2br the grand Lakeview are the best rooms.

Have all of the rooms been renovated, or just those in the original tower?
