I am staying at the Paris for 3 nights comped in a premier room starting on the 11th. I am a mid level diamond and was wondering if anyone has been able to get an upgrade to a suite by being diamond. Any other benefits to checking in at the Diamond Check-in? Thanks
We have been given a suite but not as an upgrade upon check in. We always are able to get a full fountain view in a remodeled red room - just for the asking as a Diamond level player. They always are helpful and accommodating in the Diamond chech-in room and we have always been pleased. Good luck!
You may see an automatic upgrade in your reservation about 3 days prior to check-in. That is if you have an online CET account. If you go into the reservation it will initially show the room type you booked, however, when you click 'into' it, it will potentially show an upgraded room type as a Diamond member.
I am Diamond through DIAD. I have a Forum Tower room booked for Caesars in 7 days. Just for the hell of it I clicked on the reservation and it is now showing as an Octavius Tower room! I'll ask for Augustus Tower at check-in but no complaints about the automatic upgrade. Some of the gambling at CET casinos might suck but the TR online booking system is generally excellent.
We recently had a lengthy discussion about this. Caesars promotes Octavius as the premier tower since it is the newest, but some of us prefer Augustus anyway. https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?p=690529#post690529 I would add that since my postings to the above thread, I did stay in Octavius again (was pre-blocked there, told I would have to wait to get into Augustus.) It is growing on me--I think the beds and pillows are much better/newer in Octavius. Furthermore, I found it easier to access the casino from Octavius walking past the pool and the new buffet rather than past the Augustus elevators and through the main lobby. I still think the Augustus rooms are bigger and have a better and more spacious sitting area. Back to the OP's point, within CET you have a very good chance of getting one of the most desirable rooms as a diamond. Suites are more "depends on your recent play" and what a host might have done for you rather than tier level.
We got a calais suite last trip, without asking. It was very nice, don't get me wrong, but I love the high floor prooms with the tower and fountain view. Diamond check in is very nice.
