Me and some friends decided that the most reasonably priced hotel for the dates of October 19-22 was Terribles in vegas. I wanted to do riviera but I only get Sunday - thursday free. Which is useless since the riv is charging a pretty high amount for the friday and saturday. :grrr::grrr: . So we are gonna do Terribles. Probably book it on monday. I like the casino. Pretty good selection of slots. Pretty loose payouts at least to me. They have a great angus burger in the restaurant up stairs. Plus it's an easy walk to ballys and the main strip. Hell I can walk all the way from Riv to main strip no problem.

Now what I don't know much about is the hotel. Really cheap rates has me kinda worried. Are the rooms clean? Like is it a cheap but clean place like the Riviera and excalibur. Or one of those dirty types like imperial palace and circus circus. I really don't care much if it's a simple room with basic tv. All I use my room for is to sleep in and pre game a little bit. I just pretty much need to know if the rooms are quiet, clean, and what's the vibe around the hotel and pool. Thanks to anyone with any knowledge of terribles :nworthy:

edit: don't mind the ballys sig. I only put it there since I couldn't find a terribles one lol

It's been a little while since I've stayed there and though the rooms are NOT fancy in any way, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I recall the pool vibe at the time to be quiet and relaxed, certainly not a party of any sort.

    Hey Now!
If y'all get a car, it's nice to stay in the standard rooms. You can park right by the doors to the rooms. We like to stay on the 1st floor, the doors go from the parking lot to the hallway, and then to the pool. There's a really nice hot tub that is rarely crowded. The pool area is rather shaded, lots of olive trees and palms. The rooms are dated, but clean. There's a convenience store you can use your points at, full ABC. Be sure to go by the Stage Bar and talk to Ziggy!

Does anyone know if the first floor rooms with patios next to the pool area are standard rooms or more expensive? When I was last at Terribles, wandering around the property, I thought the patio would be a great place to start and end your day .

We always enjoyed our visits to Terribles. The rooms were clean, easy place to navigate. The only reason we haven't stayed there for some time is the cheap rates we get closer to the strip.

Terribles rooms are decent and clean. They have flat screen TVs. I prefer the tower rooms because they have a separate bathroom. The standard rooms have the bathroom sink as part of the sleeping room with a half wall dividing. Also, the tower elevator requires a rm key to operate so it seems more secure.
Decor is the same so if you want to be most economical, the standard room isn't that much different.

The Previous writers have been very accurate. I am staying for 1 night Sept 30. Do you have enough points to buy a night? I have stayed there many times usually 4 times a year. But there players club is becoming very inconsistent about using points for days. You should enjoy the room.

If you can lower expectations, Terrible's is actually pretty great.

Stayed there with some buddies during a weekend last November. There's a lot of value here - you get a lot for your money. Rooms were fine and had flat screen TV's. Definitely clean. The hotel and casino are full of locals and colorful characters and I found the people to be some of the nicest out of any low roller casino I've stayed at. The shuttle driver even offered to take us to the strip if we could be ready by a certain time.

The Cafe is really good and really cheap and they have great late night specials for $4.95. Try the chicken fried steak - one of the best late night meals I've ever had in Vegas.

The Breakfast buffet is solid and dirt cheap; the lunch and dinner buffets are just cheap. I'd stay away from those.

Can't really speak to the pool scene as it was November.

Not too many young people when we stayed there - didn't really see any groups of people our age (late 20s/early 30s).

We also had free Wi-Fi and access to the gym. And no resort fee!

All in all I would def recommend it if your expecting something along the lines of a Riveria and don't mind staying off strip. It's certainly not the Wynn, nor does it need to be.

The rooms with the private patios are for comped invited guests, according to the host I had there The host would reserve one for me when I was staying there, and those patios are awesome! I loved sitting outside and watching the pool scene and just relaxing/reading.

I'm pretty picky on rooms and my rooms were always very, very clean. Tower rooms have the nice big flat screens too. My friend wasn't comped and stayed in a regular non-tower room because he wanted a smoking room, and I thought it was just fine. By no means a luxury room, but clean and well kept.

I stopped staying there about 2 years ago when I started getting great comped rooms at CET props, I like being in the middle of the action and close to great restaurants & shows. But I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Terribles!

    Enjoy your trip!

No room complaints from my one and only stay there. Food options decent for a low-rent casino.

i will be there on Sept. 30. Rooms are nice- plasma TV. I have stayed there many times over the years, in fact a few times each year. I never had a dirty room. I think you will find their rooms a great value for the 1st time.
I am a foodie, but I appreciate value since I was a teacher my whole life.
Their cafe has a breakfast special - Deuces Wild 2 pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage-$2.95, angus burger combo $5. Buffets cheap but not that good.
Breakfast used to be good when they had a omelette station. They do have waffles made to order and chicken wings. No coffee pot any more, but they give you a coupon when you check in for coffee at their store. Good luck.
