My son has friends who want to marry in Vegas. He wrote me for advice. It is totally out of my frugal experience, so any help would be appreciated Here is his note: I have a couple of friends that are eloping to Vegas. They know your proclivity to visit there, and asked me if I could get your sense of good places to do that. Neither have been to Vegas before, and are looking for a typical strip experience, but they don't want to break the bank. So, any info you have on the following: 1. An interesting chapel to get married in. 2. A cool hotel on the strip, that isn't ridiculously priced. 3. They are sexually progressive, and are looking to do strip clubs, and possibly some sort of escort service to share with each other. Hopefully this isn't too out there. Let me know if you have any questions about what they want.
My friends got married at The Stratosphere . While to some this might not be by definition "on the strip" they do have a unique wedding ceremony opportunity at the top of the tower. In terms of strip clubs, The Olympic Garden offers good couple's packages. I would suggest they check out Vegas-after-dark dot com for couple's reviews of the place.
My husband and I went to a strip club together in Vegas, with friends of ours (another couple). No swinging involved, just a fun night out. If they want...more, the Red Rooster and Green Door are the places to recommend. So I've heard. As for hotels, I imagine you can direct them well there. Lots of places have decent summer prices now, liking them all on Facebook gives access to those links/rates/reservation pages.
As far as their wedding, I am getting married at the Stratosphere as well in february, like someone mentioned- it is pretty cool up there, and the price isn't bad at all. Look up chapel in the clouds, they have a seperate website
My advice would be not to get married. If you want more than the person you are marrying now, what's it going to be like 5, 15, 40 years from now? But... When I walked down to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign there was this little chapel on the East side that was adorable. http://www.littlechurchlv.com/
Can't help with the strip clubs and such, but we got married at A Special Memory Wedding Chapel and were quite pleased (both with the ceremony and the marriage!)
Thanks for all the practical information. The couple thanks you as well. They will figure something out from this and other research. Great help here as always.
