    My Trip Report

Well the flight out of Long Beach was as always, easy. Last 15 minutes or so landing was pretty up and down. The stewardess says{ I swear} if we land ok you can turn your electronucs on. Took Bell something shuttle to Ballys. We always use executive but my wifes friend says she heard they were the best. They are not and of course she says after getting to Bally's, we shouldn't have taken that one.

Check in was 5 minutes but even a $50 trick was a no go. Got a North room looking right at the construction in back of the flamingo. Room was clean, everything wooked and all was cool.

Crowed but not packed in the casino. You could play without much problem. We had to eatmostly on the cheap because of my wifes friend. First night we say Jersey Boys at Paris. Maybe 3/4 full but the show was good, again.

Next day we all went to minus5° at Monte Carlo . Very fun. Everybody was very nice and helpful. Monte Carlo was really hopping at 11am.

Ate at Earl of Sandwich. It was good of course but her friend will not buy a meal just for her. She makes her 22 year old daughter split everything inc the soup. The mom decides what she wants and shares it with her daughter and makes her pay half. Every fricked meal for 4 day.

The one that pissed me off was when WE treated them to dinner and she order EVERYTHING. Then when she had maybe 2 bites of steak left she stopped eating. My wife asks how was it. Oh, it wasn't cooked right. My wife calls the manager over and of course he gets her another. That women took one bite and says, I'm full, anybody want the rest. Could have killed her and not gave it a second thought.

Then she goes to see celine and for the rest of the night she is telling us how much better it was then Jersey Boys.

Everytime we went outside she says the same thing, I can't belive how hot it is, I can't be out in this. Then we get to the hotel and it's so cold, why do they have to have it so cold. The most we walked was Bally's to Flamingo or CP.

She plays the slots one coin, one line even if there are 50 lines and then crys she can't win, something is wrong with the machines. Then tells her daughter, don't let me gamble anymore because I just can't win. So her daughter does and then she tells her to shut up and let her gamble. Did that each night.

She ruined it for me alot. Some people!

Went DT from 7pm to midnight to see my daughter who stayed there for a fast 2 day trip. Very packed, everywhere! We just had dinner at GN cafe which was very good.

I won $630 on a Day of the Deat slot at Bally's, pretty fun but for 5 nights I'd say I lost about 150 bucks aday. I can live with that. Excepr for her the rest of us had fun. Ate at Bills steak house. Pretty good.

All in all I saw more "really" drunk girls then in the past and less familys with kids. Was surprised to see table top dancers at Paris. They didn't have them last May when I was there.

Also and maybe it's true as I don't sit at the bar and play much but my friend I meant there and I sat and put 20 bucks in and played poker. We were betting a quarter a hand. Bartender said I can't comp you drinks unless you play max bet. We looked at each other because we had never heard that. My friend says to him I bet that hurts your tips. He says I don't care about tips. We took our drinks and left.

Last night it was just my wife and I and my friend and his wife that came for a few days. We had a good last night. Very drunk, lot's of laughing and made it to 2am.

Next day before our flight I won $150 at the airport on Star Wars.

Made it home with a good tired.

All in all I've had better trips but it was ok.

I feel for you:cry: Nothing worse than a stick in the mud ruining YOUR vacation.:nono:

Not comping a drink for single coin is not that unusual. You might get the 1st free, but many places won't comp another.

I know the feeling you had about your wife's friend! Her poor daughter! I know of many other places you must play max bet to get a comped drink when playing at a bar. I hope your next trip will be much better! Thank you for the report

We didn't even sit there to play just to get a free drink. We sat to have a drink and talk. My friend says hell, we might as well play and get a free drink since we are sitting here anyway. We were player one hand after another while talking. No thought of milking it He just walked over and said you won't get comped drinks unless you play max bet. We looked at each other and was like ok! Odd thing is we were there the day before doing the same thing and had a couple of comped drinks and nobody said a thing. Whatever. Like I said I don't hardly ever sit at the bar and play let alone buy a drink. In the end, not a big deal but to say tips are no big deal is kinda a joke.
Yes, felt bad for her daughter because the trip was in part for her daughter and mine grad from college. Anywhere and anything her daught did or went her mom was there. My friend and I tried and tried to get her away and go with us for real fun but no way, mom was glue. A few times after her mom lost 5 bucks on a machine she would tell her daughter, don't let me play anymore. So when she would sit at a machine her daughter would say mom, you said you were not going to play. Oh leave me alone, I kbnow what I'm doing.:rolleyes2:
Her daught orders a drink and all of us say yes, you'll like that. Mom says no, that's not for you, don't get it.

Maybe this trip will be the trip that opens your wife's eyes to what a great friend she has.

Sorry it wasn't a great trip, but hey, even bad trips to Vegas are great.

When Bad Trips Happen to Good People. I'm sorry man. What's your wife saying about this? I think you've earned the right to put your foot down when it comes to Vegas though. Some things are sacred.

I think her returning that steak would have been the breaking point for me. Thanks for the report. I guess even if you had bad company you were still in LV?

We both agree she won't go with us again. My wife said she was more pissed about the daughters time then anything else. It was about her daughter and our daughter grad from college trip and our vacation all in one. We are ok because we'll be back sooner then later. I've already foggoten about it and thinking about the next trip.

BTW, was looking for a HH that had call drinks because I'm not up on most well vodka. Well Le Burger Brasserie has a 2 for 1 HH. Buy a drink and get 2 for one price. I got a goose and tonic and he brought be 2. I'll go back for that. 4-7pm & 9pm to close.

I'd be interested in more specifics of the table dancers at Paris. Thanks

South side of Gustau's bar. Some bj tables with a table top dancer in the middle, just like PH.

Nice to hear that you will get to go back soon, without the crabby friend. Loved the hh at BB, too! They have a KILLER frozen strawberry mojito that is to die for! Not too sweet, just right. Bally's has table dancers too, though it seems a little strange to me. They are quite attractive.
