Depending on the dates, we typically have at least base level room comps at all CET properties with the exception of Caesar's. Yesterday, I was poking around and plugged in dates for a potential Thanksgiving week trip and, low and behold, we're comped an Augustus Tower Deluxe that week.

We haven't stayed at Caesar's for quite a few years as its never cheap enough compared to other similarly rated properties. Our last experience there was also pretty rough (old room, long walk to get anywhere, iffy service) but, I'm willing to give it another go, especially at this price.

Course, the proposed trip is a ways out yet so, who knows if we'll actually end up sticking with this plan but, I'm glad to see that its an option. From what I've read here, people seem to really enjoy the Augustus Tower rooms and it certainly fits the bill in terms of location. If I can get out of the building without having to weave through three casinos, a mall and a food court, then I'm happy.

If you are in Augustus, you will have a walk to get even to front desk. Not terrible, but a bit of a ways.

If you want to get to Mirage, then you have lots of options. None are straight forward.

Rooms in that tower are nice, but we have no interest in staying/playing at Caesars. I would take Paris any day over that.

I just got back from Casears yesterday. I am finally getting weekends comped. That was a big plus for us.

I guess that's why they have so many Casinos to pick from. I am one that hates Paris. I hate gambling there. I hate the rooms and the beds are the worst I slept in. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I would book IP over Paris.

I have never stayed in the Augustus Tower but have enjoyed other towers I have stayed at. I do not go to the front desk. I do the Texpress Service and pick up my keys at the bell desk when I check my bags. I love Caesars pool.

It looks like Augustus is right off the main lobby. Are you referring to Octavius?

The gaming is a bit of a down side. We prefer Planet Hollywood and, to a lesser extent, Paris and Flamingo, for gaming and location. The only comp I can get from Paris (on the web anyway) is the base room. Since its smaller and older, I'm inclined to go with Caesars. If I was eligible for a view Red Room, it would be a tougher choice.

I think your tower is by the new Starbucks. It is not a bad location. On the plus side for me is it has a Jacuzzi Spa Bathtub. After a long day gambling it nice to soak the aches away. In the morning I am stiff and my joints lock up. My hands won't open up. It helps get me moving again. I can walk once I get going. I have walked the whole strip several times. I think Caesars is more centrally located for me to take a cab if I need or want to go to different places. I just won a 1,500 jackpot at Caesars but it is not my favorite for food or gambling. We are foodies. We like Gambling at Rio, Bellagio, and Wynn. We like eating at Cosmo, Bellagio, Wynn and Venetian. We just jump in a cab and go. Its not that much money.

Augustus is closest to the lobby and also has their own check in. You use the valet entrance there to walk back to the strip up Flamingo.

Augustus is near (not right off) the lobby, a short walk. The across the lobby to casino. Then through the casino to food court/shops/restaurants.

    Octavious is even further.

We all of course have different opinions.

Here is property map. It comes direct from their website, but the do not show the newest tower, which be towards the bottom left.

You can see the tower in this map, along with the front entrance, and the shops at the top that empty out in front of Harrahs, near Mirage entrance.

CET seems to be loosening up on comps at Caesars, particularly for low-level players. We scored a week at Caesars over the holidays by doing a back-to-back between the two of us and the desk was most cooperative in giving us a great room and not making us check out and back in.

For a long time it seemed like the only true frebee we got was IP, then Ballys/Flamingo started showing up, now Caesars.

Its right next to Starbucks like I said. Right off the Registration desk. I was just there on Saturday. I have deformed feet due to RA, so I am aware how far a walk things are. I have stayed in just about every casino in Las Vegas. Compared to many casinos it is very close. You have Central and Guy Savay right there.

Its only for thanks giving. Even my wife that barley plays gets that offer. No one is in Vegas during that time. I have been getting CP comped ONLY that week for the past 3 years. Mostly I just get Planet Ho and the lower end guys (unless its Thanx Given that is) I did get a direct offer from them last year for the 1st time ever and I stayed in the Augustus Tower. Right behind the check inm desk and just a minute to the strip! By far the easiest in and out room I have ever had in Vegas. There are pictures of it in my trip report.

I've noticed this too when I was looking at my calendar the other day. I'm a very low roller and from July-Dec I have about 5 different weeks where I'm comped at Caesars sun-thur. I never thought that would happen.
