They also included what appears to be a simulated video dog race next to it which will make it easy to find.

Heard an old old story going back more than 10 years that the Sigma Derby only has around 200 different races, and someone had memorized all the races in order, and was cleaning up, and when the casino did an analysis of the machine and wondered why they were losing money on the game, they reviewed the tapes of the game and saw the one player wining every race, and then made changes to change the order of the races and the randomness of the game. just repeating a story that I heard from the inside

Did they ever convert it to take bills, or do you need a roll of quarters?

That's a great story regardless of it's accuracy.

100% believable - actually reminds me of the story about the guy who beat the old 80's game show "Press Your Luck" because he figured out & memorized the patterns of how the spaces repeated.

About 10 yrs ago we were staying at Harrahs and made my wife walk with me all the way down to the Luxor to play the camels. I guess it's a guy thing.

Several years back they had one of these machines in the Riviera. A friend and I were playing the machine and hit 4 of the 200-1 races in the same session, plus a few of the other high pay-outs won. My friend and I each won over $400 and ultimately they closed the game down for inspection. I'm pretty sure the Riviera no longer has the game, but I haven't been back there in several years, in fact I think it may have been torn down, not sure.

A friend just returned at the end of October and said the Derby was not there. It was being (the area) remodeled and was told the machine was set aside until the floor was finished and it could be returned. Anyone know more? Hoping for a return in the next 2 weeks anyway. Any info helpful and appreciated.......(Pound on glass....)

That digital dog racing game is a slap in the face to Sigma Derby. Someone needs to go to IGT's headquarters and slap whoever was involved with that project upside the head with something large, blunt and heavy.

In all seriousness, I'd play Sigma if it were $1 credit. And I bet others would too. Just as long as it didn't pay out in Susan B Anthony or Sacajawea coins.

I can confirm that it was taken down during the remodel. It sure looked like it would be awhile before that area was put back together, but I don't know the timetable. I was there last Thursday and it made me sad
