Taking my title from the Food Network program.....we just got home yesterday from 8 days in LV. We returned to Bellagio after several years at CP and Paris.

We had the Degustation Menu at Le Cirque on Saturday night with the wine pairing...OMG, it was heaven. I loved everything about the restaurant...it wasn't stuffy. The waiters, the maitre'd and the sommelier were all so personable. We were there for three hours!!! Counting the amuse-bouche, there were 7 courses and we ordered each choice so that we could taste everything. Reading over the selections, I wasn't sure I would like everything as my food tastes are more limited than DH....but each dish was so good, I ate all kinds of unusal ( for me) things.

We normally eat very well in LV as that is the reason I agree to go...to try restaurants.....but this was jus fabulous

i agree, they really are the best. JR gets all the attention for French food in Vegas, but i pick Le Cirque every time.

I bet if you were to have dinner at Prime, it would be better than Le Cirque.

I pulled up the menu for PRIME and that is my kind of food so we may well try it during another visit, so thanks.....However, the night we went to LeCirgue, we were looking for out of the ordinary and certainly got it.

Have you ate at Le Cirque?? If not, then I am not sure you can make a post like that......besides, its comparing apples and oranges (a french tasting menu vs. a prime steakhouse??)

To the OP--Glad you liked the degustation. My Vegas bucket list includes a dining at Le Cirque, JR, and E ......now if I could only convince my wife that its ok to spend that much money on dinner :evillaugh

Maybe, I got the wrong dishes on my visit to Le Cirque. The only thing I enjoyed in my meal was my wife's risotto and the shellfish tower.

We will eventually get to the restaurants on MGM properties, but so far our best meals have been at Wynncore. I could eat at Sinatra every night and never tire of it. Ditto SW Steakhouse. Really looking forward to eating at the Country Club this next trip.

    We have low tastes.

I ate at é last year and it was incredible, I also felt that my palate wasn't refined enough at that time and I want to try it again now :)

I had an incredible meal at SW in 2010 and I've had them at CUT too the last 2 years. I want to try and get to Cirque this year if possible and to try Delmonico/Botero too.

I definitely want to try and get some more tasting menu experience this year if possible, my only problem is convincing others to join in the fun. Most of them are happy enough with a slab of beef and I have to coerce them :evillaugh

I've yet to find a retaurant in Vegas that compares to the total awesomeness that was Alex at the Wynn - I'll never forgive them for closing it :grrr:

Wow, I was just looking over the Degustation Menu's at the different places in Bellagio, they look amazing, albiet expensive! I would love to bring my Fiance to these but I at $100 - $135 a head plus $60-$70 for the wine pairing, I think I'll have to see if I can budget a trip to just one of them. I know she wants to visit Mesa Grill (budgeting $300+ for that meal) so we'll see if we can swing a meal at Le Cirque or Picasso for their Degustation Menu with wine pairing. If not it's definately something I am going to have to get her to return for :) Wow... they just look amazing!

Is Mon Ami Gabi a decent place to get a nice meal? The prices are very reasonable, at least moreso than expected, and there are a lot of items of interest on their menu.

Look, I love prime as much as you, but le cirque is a completely different experience and as an earlier poster said,.its like comparing apples to oranges.

Jean georges at aria is really good too, as are their shortribs mango port mentioned.

Last week I tried the short.rib at craftsteak, which was also.good.but more like pot roast.than.shortribs.

Hands down, Alex. 3 for 3 in service, atmosphere, and of course the food. Can't believe that Wynn shut that joint down.

Don't feel like you have to order the wine pairing. You can always just get a glass of wine or two. Not sure about Le Cirque, but I know Picasso has a full bar as well. My wife and I rarely order pairings when we do tasting menus and we never feel like we're diminishing our experience.

For the most part the wine scene in vegas is a huge rip-off. The prices are some of the highest in the country because casinos want to suck up comp money.

I heard from a sommelier friend of mine in Vegas that Steve Wynn closed it down during his divorce from Elaine because it was her favorite restaurant.
