Hubby and I are booked at Mandalay Bay for 2 nights in June in a comped suite, after I made that reservation we decided we wanted to do 3 nights instead of 2 so I called Mandalay and they quoted me $300+ for that extra night (NOT!! I can have a lot of fun with that $300) so I figured we'll just stay at Luxor 1 night and walk over to Mandalay the next day (super convinient:thumbsup:). So I made a ressie at Luxor for the one night. Fast forward a few days and I get an offer for comped nights at the Luxor, I call and they say they don't allow back to back comps and since I already had a ressie and Mandalay they couldn't give me the Luxor offer as well, however, he said that some of the Mlife properties do allow back to back offers. So anyone know who does allow it?

    TIA

I'm with harrisab. I had to book a corporate offer from Mirage and then had to use my host for the Bellagio for another 2. I hear so many different things about back toback. Some people say they do it all the time, other said they have done it but couldnt get any of their free play from either, and other have said no they just couldnt do it.

I've never really ran into it before, we always stayed a few nights CET and a few MGM during the same trip and obviously that was never a problem.

Generally, based on MY experience, you can not book back to back offers/deals. You can book a back to back room via a host. That second room will not come with goodies. Unless of course your ADT is high enough to prove to them you are stupid enough to throw more money at them.

Really surprised you could not get that extra hotel night. Is the hotel already an EXPENSIVE night? Double check the rate system and see if you should first change the free nights to expensive ones, then add one at the front end.

    ..absolutely agree, confirmed..

last year 2011 i had successfully booked mandalay bay, mirage, then bellagio in a row, for the mirage one with no 72 hours in between they took away my fp, f/b comps, but i got the room free.. mbay and bellagio both gave me all my perks, fp/food/bev

as for this year, i was able to book mandalay bay 3 nights with fp/f/bev, mirage at host price for 3 nights ( i had an free offer, they imposed the 72 hour rule changed from no perks to NO CAN), then bellagio 3 night comp + fp and f/bev

.. yesterday i called vip services to get mayweather fight tickets, at first glance they said "you have to cancel your bellagio offer" then i said look closely, i paid for the 3 nights at mirage ($105/per nite), it qualifies for the 72 hour rule ..ok he said, then i got my tickets ..

dang it ..i wanted the whole week free ..i'm platinum

    ..oh well ..

Not sure exactly, but I think the last 4 trips we were back to back rooms, but only one of them were actually offers.

Book the best OFFER first. Then call to add more nights at other resort.

LOL, I'm not really familiar with how this all works. This is going to be my 3rd trip using the card, I always thought it was a waste of my time so never bothered to sign up before.

Anyhow, I just called and asked for a rate for the additional night, I didn't actually ask if they would comp the additional night, sort of figured if they could they would offer it. So maybe I went about it all wrong. Should I call and just ask if they could comp an additional night?

    Thanks for the help!

"Slots4Fun" , We have booked several nights with MGM properties back-to-back-to-back. What we do is set up the properties in order that we want to stay and then call each one seperately and use the offer code that is on the mailer. We have never had any issues at all and have always received all of the FP and Comp that was offered. By the way, You always have to ask unless you are at a more serious level than I can afford.

Okay so I guess I'll just call and ask (I'm going to feel like an idiot if they say no:eek:). I assume I just call the number on the original offer to ask, right?

I've had the Mandalay booked since March, we just decided we wanted to add another night over the last couple of weeks. When I got the offer for luxor on Mlife.com I just called and gave them the offer code, didn't say anything about having Mandalay booked, the guy on the phone is the one who told me that they can't us the luxor offer since I'm already booked at Mandalay under and offer.

Probably just depends on who you talk to. When I was booking Mandalay I had to change my dates after I made the original ressie, when I called to change the dates the first person I talked to told me that the offer was no good on the dates I needed to change to (I knew it was), so I simply hung up waited about 10 minutes and called back, second time ressie was booked with no issues.

My experience was similar. First, my host at MGM property #1 comped me three nights (not a corporate offer). Second, I called up a second MGM property to book 2 nights at mlife tier rate. To my surprise, she offered comped rooms. Then after trying to put it in the computer, she came back and said it wasn't possible because of the comps at the first property and the 72-hour window, and she offered the mlife tier discount instead.

Neither of these were corporate offers, (as far as I know - the second one could have been), but according to the fine print on those, they shouldn't be possible either.

I'm with everyone else that said they have never been able to pull off your hat trick before. And I tried every trick in the book to do so. The closest I was able to come was book a corporate offer at MGM for a night. They had a promo going separately called the Buzz, where if you stayed with them you would get $50.00 in free play. Which I got. Moved over to Mandalay Bay for 2 nights, that came with $50.00 in free play as well. But I couldnt get that off the Mlife desk. She checked in her computer (they always have to activate it once you book in to the hotel) and she said she saw I just got $50 in free play yesterday at MGM so she cant give me my $50 now for staying with them. I'm sure there was something in the offers fine print so I didnt argue it.

She saw I was a little disappointed and said it was a rule to stop people from booking a new room each night and hopping around collecting free play and not actually staying there.

I just know that we have done it for several years now and each time we have not had any issues. We just got back last week from Bellagio Back-to-Back with Aria, Each for 3 days with $200 from Aria and $400 from the B. No issues at all.

Maybe the 72-hour rule has something to do with it. We always stay at least 3 days at each property. Now you've got me wondering?????

I tried the same exact thing. Saw, called, and got the Mandalay bay 2 free nights with suite upgrade ... then tried to call Luxor and she looked it up and said they couldn't do back to back. I didn't know you couldn't, now I do.

Which is the dumbest move on the planet. This rule usually forces me to play 1/2 my trip with MGM and 1/2 with CET since I'm almost always out there 4 nights when I go. So I have to use each of them for a couple nights for free.

You'd think they would want me to spend my entire trip giving their casinos money!

sounds like maybe at 72 hours after your first check in.

I have free offers from CET also and considered staying with them for my first night rather than paying for the luxor. I always play wherever I'm staying at night and that's when I do most of my playing you would think they would want it, but the win in the end I went ahead and made a luxor reservation because it's just so convenient

    Amazing.

Some posts INSIST there is a 72 hour rule and you can not stay at another MGM property.

Others INSIST it is not a problem.

    Which is it folks?

(our last 4 trips have been 3 nights at one MGM, then 3 nights at a another MGM)
