I signed up for a card at las vegas club when i arrived at the hotel and to my surprise, i had a $5 free slot play. Also, golden nugget has the same thing. Does anyone know what other casinos offers stuff like this just for signing up? Are there the only 2 casinos downtown that does this?

My advice is not to sign up for a card for a nominal incentive unless you actually intend on playing there a significant amount (ie. beyond just going through the $5-$10 freeplay). You may go back to find that the same casino now has a much better incentive that you can't take advantage of because you are no longer a new member. I wish that I hadn't signed up at the Plaza for a mere $5 in freeplay as I could have waited for my next trip and accrued 2,500 points to get $180 in freeplay on top of the free $5. That kind of play can be significant enough to merit a room offer at Plaza as well.

First, if I might suggest: maybe try proofreading your posts before hitting that "Submit Reply" button.

Boarding Pass would be the name of the slot club for those casinos... like how MGM properties use MLife and Caesars Entertainment properties use Total Rewards.

Like other slot clubs, you can only sign up once at one property and then you have the card for all the other casinos... so you can't go to all those different casinos to get the $3 in free play.

And no, people generally don't go to all these different places on that list and sign up for all these different cards. Generally what they will do is sign up for the casinos with a promotion for the area they are in.

IE: if you are Downtown you might go visit the casinos down there for their different programs if they have sign up bonuses: Plaza/Las Vegas Club, Binion's, Golden Nugget, Binion's, Fremont, Four Queens and Fitzgerald's (The D) and maybe down to El Cortez.

If a place doesn't have some kind of slot club bonus and its a place I will likely never stay then I don't bother with signing up for their card (or if I have their card bother taking it with me).

And as a note: from that list a few places have "receive a free gift" as their signup bonus. In most cases the quality of the free gift is comparable to something you could buy at a dollar store.

i just went to treasure island yesterday and got the 10 dollar slot play. But when i used the machine... it said my balance was too low. Does that mean i actually have to wager at this machine first before i get the 10 dollar slot play? I have no interest in playing slot machines anymore but dont mind clicking some buttons just for the free slot play.

Which casinos offer sign up bonus of free slot play without needing to wager in it? I checked that link u gave and it didn't show Treasure island required any but the slot play didn't work? So far i just know las vegas club and golden nugget is free slot play without requing to get any points.

You have to bet with real cash. After the spin, free play equal to your bet is converted to cashable credits. So let's say you want to bet $2/spin. You put in $2 in real money, activate the free play, and spin. If you lose, you'll still have $2 in credit, and your free play balance will be reduced by 2. If you win, you'll have your win+$2 in credit, and your free play balance will be reduced by 2.

Yeah, the machines deduct the amount of your wager from the money you put in the machine, so you need enough credits in the machine to cover your initial wager...

Then after the spin they return the amount they deducted for the wager, transferring the money from your free play balance to your actual balance in the machine.

Some will show it just as a win, some will say "bonus pays ....", others might call it a bonus win and some just transfer the money with a tiny bit of text at the bottom of the screen telling you what happened.

By leaving the free play on your card in this fashion and not transferring it to the machine until after you played the spin it allows you to switch machines and take your freeplay with you by just taking your card out and putting it in a new machine. For $10 that might not be something you are going to do... but I've had free play in the hundreds of dollars and sometimes after a few bad spins on a machine you feel like trying something different out.
