    My Trip Report

Dec 2021 was when I took my first "test run" for a day trip. fly in and fly out same day. Giving myself about 4-5 hours on the strip

    2022 - I took a total of 34 trips to Vegas
33 day trips and 1 overnighter for a total of 35 days spent in town
made CET Diamond Plus, MGM Gold, V/P Grazie Paiza and Southwest A-list during the process

What does 2023 look like? I was going to slow down a lot as the almost weekly daytrips were getting quite tiresome but a bad habit is hard to break
Somehow I already have 12 trips booked
3 for Jan, 3 for Feb, 2 for March, 1 for April, 2 for May, and 1 for June
Everything remains fluid. I have added and changed hotel and flight bookings multiple times in the past 2 weeks.

I am booking offers at different hotels on purpose to explore different rooms that are available as a comp. I will continue to share photos and reviews of hotel rooms and restaurants. I am excited to see the sky view suite at Mandalay Bay

I managed to cross off a major bucket list item in 2022 - hit table max at craps.
Playing at a $25 min table at palazzo, I had my place bet on 6 pressed to $6000 and on the 8 for $4200. Hit the 6 at max one time for a $7k payout
the $1000 bet on a number at roulette still eludes me. my biggest hit was for $500 straight up

My cashout after that table max session at craps

My Vegas bucket list for 2023
    1. Don't lose money. Will be nice if I win some.
    2. Eat better food. Explore new restaurants
    3. Hit a number on roulette for $1000 straight up
    4. Hit ATS bonus twice around with one shooter before a 7 out
    5. Explore more room types

First trip for 2023 starts at Bellagio. Booked 2 nights so I can use the myvegas free plays. Been sitting on those points forever. I miss the days when myvegas allowed me to watch almost all the Cirque shows for free
have lunch reservation at Lago again, although I am open to trying somewhere new

I definitely miss those myVegas comp Cirque tickets. It's certainly difficult to spend LPs if you have no need to use a comp room reward.

    Thanks

I have no doubt I will hit it one day. It's just a matter of how deep I will be in before it hits

They were the best value for the myvegas points
I watched mystere as my first Cirque show with my family and then got hooked.
Then used myvegas points to watch Ka (twice), O, Zarkana, and Zumanity
Have not watched any of the music centered ones like Beatles love and Michael Jackson one
Even watched Kurios, a traveling Cirque show, when it came to town. Definitely a step down from a full stage production but still an enjoyable show

I have young children at home so can't spend the night. I try my best to be home for dinner and to do the bedtime routine like shower and reading books

Even for a big degenerate like myself, the day trips did get tiring. I will definitely be making less trips than last year but it is still looking like I can get over 20 trips at this pace

Looking forward to following along in 2023, @VegasDaytripper!
I enjoy every way people share of doing Vegas and yours is def a unique version to follow. I've thought of what I'd do if I'm that close but also have no idea how I'd actually handle it

It's definitely not common ... I don't think. At least I haven't seen or heard of anyone else regularly making a day trip to Vegas

I guess I am the only one degen enough to do it

It’s really not coming from California (though I prefer to spend a night). Flight is $40 to $150 round trip and you’re in the air for 75 minutes or less…

pay for parking at the airport so it's just a quick walk over, CLEAR membership so I save time going through the lines, and not having any luggage
Cheap flights. 40ish minutes air time each leg
    Not bad at all

But do it every week and sometimes twice a week and it gets pretty tiring.

We too live a 45 minute flight away and have made the trip a few weekends in a row. Definitely trying to tone it down now.

    oh boy
I need to talk to my accountant and do some homework

CET is reporting a win of $3,955
MGM is reporting a win of $7,813.75
    V/P is reporting a win of $19,650

the CET and MGM figures look right
I thought my V/P number would be much lower. I had one "handpay" at electronic roulette which made me stop playing it. my normal bet would result in a handpay for any win

    Slot Coin In: $4,056.00
    Slot Coin Out: $3,647.00
    Slot Hand Paid Jackpots: $2,160.00

    Slot Win / (Loss): $1,751.00
    Table Win / (Loss): $17,899.00
    Total Win / (Loss): $19,650.00

so the question that needs to be answered is if V/P treats the free bet chips as part of the winnings somehow
that'd make a huge difference in what i actually won or lost

    anyway
cancelled lunch res at Lago and booked Sadelle's to try something different tomorrow
had originally changed to the Henry at Cosmo but I decided to save the walk and time since I need to concentrate my play at Bellagio

I would think free bet chips would not count as your buyin. So if you walk up to the table with $1000 in free bet chips, and leave the table with $700 in regular chips, you won $700.
