I use to think they had a magical rewards program for how much they use to talk up total rewards back in the day.

Today went to my local. Was picking up free play as I was in the area. Put my card in and pin doesn't work. Try another machine same problem. So walk over to the desk to see if I need to reactivate it or something. Lady leaves and says she needs to call a host. 20 minutes later a guy shows up and says my offers are suppressed as I don't gamble enough.

I don't get why they would be so stupid to bother me over such a nominal free play at a dump of a casino that only has slots. My guess is some guy at the local made a horrible decision but it's so odd they aren't smart enough to look at the customers spend across Caesars. These guys are idiots.

Sorry just venting. Sometimes I feel like I am living in the movie idiocracy.

There was a thread on here about Plaza ending an offer early as well. I guess I don’t understand this trend. I thought you earned the offers based on your historical play, and to maintain the same offers in the future, you needed to keep up that same level of play. Ending them early just seems petty on the casino’s part.

    Wow.

Did he say if that decision is impacting the rest of your CET comps, or just that one local?

I didnt ask but assumed it was just this particular casino. Offers are still showing up online. It just boggles my mind that Caesars would let some guy at a tiny local casino make a decision like that when it could impact my attitude towards my action in Vegas and New Orleans.

    Wow! They're so dumb.

I was a non-CET casino once, my card didn't work, must see host. They told me I had a negative point balance, although couldn't say why. Insisted I'd redeemed something, was overcomped. It was some mistake, I'd never been compd anything, never had a meal voucher, played in a tournament... nothing. But they insisted. They expected me to play to bring the balance back up to zero. Finally, recognizing I wasn't going to prevail, I said "then why would I even play here? You don't expect me to play for nothing, do you? I'll play elsewhere." They were shocked. That never even occurred to them. I walked away - their mouths agape.

I played elsewhere that evening. It was a paid room... I checked out next morning. Never stayed or played there again.

Sometimes they really get lost in their own alternate realities.

Your offers are probably still there, you just need to reset your pin. Reset your pin and then go put your card in a machine. Your free play should be there. Just dont go to the desk asking about your free play. Just go to the desk to reset your pin, thats it.

Didn't this happen in CET AC casinos when people were picking up gifts without playing? CET locked people's PINs.

That is what I did...didnt mention the free play. Must have been a note in their system to call a host and not reset the PIN on my behalf.

After you reset your pin, did you go to the slot to see if your free play would load up?

I’d file a complaint with CET corporate. Them refusing to reset your PIN affects you at all of their properties. At the very least, it will bring attention to this.

Not really. They most likely locked his card locally from getting access to freeplay/points and its not system wide. I know people who got blocked due to picking up freeplay and not playing a couple years back(like for months, not just once) in the philly one, but had no issues in AC. If its system wide, then CET just doesn't want him as a player.

Offers with FP, rooms, etc are

    a) Earned based on play

    or

    b) Somewhat earned, but offered for one reason - to entice you get back into casino and drop more money than they offered.

I am in the school that offers are enticements based on past play.

People who work at locals casinos always seem more emboldened to do stuff like this, especially if they are the only one in the area for people to gamble. I wouldn't be too upset at CET as a whole because I would bet that the Vegas side has little to nothing to do with these local idiots.

I maybe misinterpreting this, but OP appears to be saying that they won’t allow him to reset his PIN. If indeed that’s the case, he wouldn’t be allowed to redeem offers at any CET property. He wouldn’t be able to login to the kiosk, download free play to a machine, etc.

Maybe just locally, but in Las Vegas they can reset the pin.

    WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!

Just joking. They did me dirty by emailing low rates available to the public but my rates are always higher. I’m fake Diamond and apparently overcomped because I took too advantage of no resort fees too much. No communication at all. They just did it and hoped I wouldn’t notice. I also got a bad stomachache after Bacchanal once. I’ve been no playing them for a while now.
