Well I thought if you were double vaccinated that was all you needed to gain entry to USA

Don't want to jinx it, but I've started booking other stuff now. Got my internal flight booked, some MyVegas freeplay. Just need to book my Florida hotel and the rental cars, but given up hope of the prices coming down! I'm going to book the covid thing through the Virgin Atlantic website, in the hope they'll be competent.

Honestly, this is the most stressful pre-planning ever - all this and no matter how organised I am it could all be for nothing if I test positive 3 days before. I'm not really going to believe it's happening until I get off that plane in Orlando.

I ‘generally’ plan most holidays and tend to stick to the plan mostly… gives me stress otherwise :D

For anyone like me who has maybe had flight changes enforced on them, don't take a no ! AA first of all bumped me to BA and then tried to have me departing at silly o'clock in the morning from Dublin and returning on the night flight. I have called the same AA helpline in the UK over the last 2 days a total of 5 times....first 4 times told no chance of change because it was a economy fare and just not possible...5th call, the agent was prepared to spend an extra few minutes and I am now on flights that suit me far better.

Yeah, the one in the link I've paid for, with same day results.

I can't book it until next weekend, though. Hopefully by next week they're doing them a bit closer to home :D

Mine is ~70 miles away, lol. Gives me a chance to have a drive around my old stomping ground from 20 years ago, when I was based at HMS Collingwood :D

Ok so entry requires a negative covid test or "documentation of recovery from Covid". I fall into the second part but it doesn't give a timescale as to how long ago this recovery can have been. Does anybody know?

Right -it's in the FAQs - 90 days. So I'll need to take a test 3 days before travel anyway....

    ESTA Updated- Check
    Pre departure test booked- Check
Airport Hotel with parking booked- Check

Feeling like this is going to happen, just worried that I past the test to fly, I work in a hospital so will be trying to avoid the red areas.
