SpongeBob SquarePants is a TV that should have ended a long time ago. Seasons 1-3 were great, Season 4 was where it started to stink but still had memorable episodes. After Season 4 is when the show started to get beyond stupid. It should have ended in Season 4. The 4th Season is the threshold for many TV Shows to go into syndication, so SpongeBob could have ended in Season 4 and go into Syndication. As the saying goes,"Quality over quantity."

I just don't get the whole Kardashian scene, ditto with that deluge of My 100,000,000 Megaton whatever stuff. Also the other day I flipped across what looked like a podiatry spinoff of Dr. Pimple Popper *CLICK!*.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is still going? Last year I saw a Magazine cover saying that they were going to get cancelled within the year.

I check in about once a month to see if my wife is still able to catch me up…….things change sooooo slowly. And how they bring people back from the dead……a contract settlement can do that you know.

Only soap that I was ever really addicted to, summers in HS and in undergrad, where I scheduled classes around it.

Soap Operas tend to last years, if not Decades. IIRC, TV Shows were starting to do away with Soap Operas before the ongoing Covid Pandemic (People just didn't really have time to be sitting in front of their TV in recent times before the ongoing Covid Pandemic, as many Households now have both Wife and Husband working full-time jobs and it was no longer mostly Husband working while Wife stayed home and took care of the house, cooking, and children. When Soaps debuted, the majority of women didn't work but were full time stay at home Housewives and Moms) but Covid brought back the fire for them since the Shutdowns forced many People to be at home, and thus have a lot more time to watch TV.

But they just started a new one in Hawaii, it's only had a couple episodes. The others have had their time and should end. Maybe that's the plan since they rebooted CSI:Las Vegas.

    Yes I do agree .
This coming from an individual that is a fan of the show.
I passed on the season opener due to that it was a from start to end a musical.
I'm OK if you want to do that during the season.
    But not a season opener.

I was a huge fan of the original CSI with the initial cast. Once they started making changes, not so much. I have watched the couple episodes of this new one and not really impressed all that much. It's okay but feels like a show out of a different time.

I don't enjoy saying this, but technically Sesame Street should have ended a long time ago. It is 52 years old, really long for a TV Show. To put this into perspective, the 6 year olds in the very first Season are now 58, and most likely Grandparents now. People may argue that it is nice that a single show lasted 52 years to date, but seriously, a single show should run about 11 years at the most, not 52 years.

I said,"11 years," because that's how long Cheers lasted. Lol.

I know Sesame Street is a longtime Still running staple of Television, but 52 years is an absurdly long time to still be running. Once again, I don't enjoy saying that, but technically Sesame Street shouldn't have lasted 52 years.

I might counter with 73 years, as that's how long Meet The Press has run, and somewhat longer than I've been around.

I think somewhere between 11 and 52 would have been good for Sesame Street.

My grandson is now 4 and I sat and tried to watch it the other day with him... I didn't even recognize it.

I agree as well. I loved this show but honestly the "Tomaco" episode (season 10?) is one of the last ones I remember as being like a 'classic' Simpsons episode. I've only watched it off-and-on since then. I always catch the Halloween specials, though.
