Just finished Bugsy & Meyer. Full post later but it was, again, absolutely phenomenal.

Peeing at my favorite Flamingo bathroom now. Gonna check the flamingo tables next.

    Short recap from yesterday -

    MAG breakfast
$10 blackjack to start at Paris
    Caesar’s minimums were too high
    O’Sheas still closed
Harrah’s was horrible for me, good for Dan
Detoured through Cromwell & that was a poor decision
Checked on Ann at Ballys, still up for the trip but losing her profits
Changed clothes for dinner & headed to Bugsy & Meyer’s

Dinner was amazing. Those rolls! We ordered a bottle of Malbec & a shrimp cocktail to start. Ann got a glass of moscato. We all got the 8oz filet (Ann medium well, Dan medium, me medium rare & Oscar style). Side of asparagus & a baked potato. It was way too much food. We left probably 1/3 of the asparagus & an entire half of the potato. They gave Dan a glass of champagne for his birthday, which he gave to me. And he ordered limoncello and creme brulee. Total came to $392.60. Used 3 Diamond dinners (they let Ann combine 2020 & 2021). Tipped $100 flat (AGAIN) and charged the rest to the room.

Afterwards, headed back to Ballys. Craps was horrible. Went through $300 in three shooters (2 of them being Dan & I)! Tried my hand at I Love Suits, which was kinda fun. Like 3 card poker but only flushes qualify/pay. If you’ve seen The Good Place, the name I Love Suits just reminded us of Jason Mendoza saying “I Love Butts!” We cracked up.

Spent the next hour-ish playing Top Dollar with Ann in Ballys high limit. Not her usual machines but she’s been doing well on the row of them along the back wall. It was a fun time! Got lots of bonuses, 7s a couple times, & got to play from BoA (Bank of Ann)! Eventually left her there & headed back to Paris. Found a $15 blackjack table and quickly sacrificed another $200 to Caesar. By that point it was….11pm? 12a? Something like that. Decided to just turn in and call it a night.

And last night I slept like shit. Again. Got about 6 hours Monday night. Maybe 5 last night. Randomly woke up at 6:30 & checked into our flight. Still crossing my fingers Southwest cancels or delays us. I couldn’t fall back asleep after that and we’ve just been lounging since then. I cancelled our MAG reservation for this morning thinking we’d be sleeping in. Oh well.

Plan for the day - probably gonna head down to Luxor or the Trashy Castle. Food somewhere around there. Maybe make a rezzie for dinner. I originally wanted GR Steak but after such a rich, filling steak dinner last night, we’ll probably go somewhere else. Maybe Best Friend at Park? But that’s probably just as filling.

Have gotten regular updates and photos from our house sitter. I’ve liked him so far!

Only 22 more hours in Vegas. I’m gonna mainline coffee and just remind myself I can sleep in Indiana!

Yup! 7. They just keep showing up on my back porch so we (I) take them in. I think there’s a rumor amongst the neighborhood cats that says “hey, a bunch of suckers live on the corner, hang out on the porch if you want a warm bed & snuggles!” We’ve only adopted 4 of the 7. The other 3 were “found”.

And our three puppies! All 3 adopted. Dan got a doggie DNA test for Charlie for his birthday. The rescue said his mom was probably a Great Pyrenees mix, which is probably where he gets his size. But he mostly looks foxhound. Looked very beagle when he was little.

We use a Shark vacuum and you should definitely take our recommendation!! We have hardwood, rugs, & tile and that thing is freaking awesome. Used to have a Dyson & it was good but very overpriced.

Baby Charlie, the day we adopted him

Since we cancelled MAG, Dan ran down to Guy Savoy and got coffee and pastries. Pain au chocolat for him, blueberry & cheese brioche for me. They’re really good. Icing on the brioche is a little sweet though.

We didn’t request an upgrade this trip. We booked the end hallway and didn’t really care about the floor or view. We did ask for a floor/view upgrade in July and got it. Tipped $20 then. That room had a pretty standard bathroom, separate tub, small shower. This room has just a giant shower. It’s nice. The water pressure & temp are great.

    I did get some nice sunrise pics at 6:30 this morning. 83752E54-BC5B-4A72-B570-EE0A5D35A2A7.jpeg 221FE044-6D6C-422E-BA2B-AA88F9379B53.jpeg C148492B-C348-4ABA-B281-83070BA57B13.jpeg 90A87A88-D7FB-4BE5-9FBC-7EEA8B2089A9.jpeg 75F2D916-26E6-44DD-BC88-0F2BC1733930.jpeg 8405A228-E9F2-4B06-9097-BA08E92C8E82.jpeg B775BF20-6CB5-42F1-A1E9-6CDABC7B2206.jpeg

Ubered down to Luxor. $4 ride, $5 tip. Luxor had about 4 total tables open. All packed. So we walked over to Excal, none of the moving walkways were working in our direction. Excal has BUSTER BLACKJACK!! I thought it had gone extinct in Vegas! $10 table & I didn’t do too bad. My $200 lasted a whole hour instead of 10 minutes. Then we took the walkway to NYNY. Stopped for a slice of pizza ($23.30 for two slices & two bottles of water) and now contemplating our next move!

Enjoying your pics and reports. Have dined at Bugsy&Meyers twice myself and really enjoyed it. Hoping some big wins come your way. Thanks for taking the time to post.

    Final Day (Wednesday) -

After a quick slice at NYNY, we ventured over to ParkMGM. I love that one. That was, by far, our best gambling of the trip. We played some blackjack & did pretty well at craps. Both Dan & I had good rolls. We shared a prosciutto & provolone sandwich at Eataly. It was delicious.

Then we walked back to Paris around 6, where Ann was button mashing her new favorite machine. Her host had stopped by to say hi & told her she still had “several hundred” in compable spend & asked if she wanted a dinner rezzie for the evening. So we chose Giada. However it was full until 8:15 so I showered & vegged in the room until then.

We had never been to Giada and OMG. WOW. I was blown away. We started with the bacon wrapped dates & they were deliciously caramelized. I love trying new restaurants with Ann because she’s not a very adventurous eater & we’re able to get her to try new things. She had never had a date before! And she loved them! We also started with a cocktail each & bottle of Washington Riesling. G cocktail for me, Cosmo Blanco for Ann, & Serpico for Dan.

We considered the tasting menu but we figured after B&M, we shouldn’t order so much. So I got the lemon spaghetti, Dan got the bucatini & added meatballs, Ann had the Italian fried chicken. All were fantastic but Dan’s was the best. The meatballs were so tender, they melted in your mouth. We added a side of broccolini and it was really good dipped in the red sauce from the meatballs.

For dessert, Dan had the lemon soufflé, I got the hazelnut cake, & Ann had gelato & a glass of Moscato. Surprisingly, we weren’t too stuffed. I was full but not “hate my life” full. I also didn’t finish all my spaghetti, so that probably helped.

    EC33867B-2754-4376-AADC-A206BF0A2394.jpeg EBB9631E-5020-4672-A192-AA2A29F71013.jpeg

Service was FANTASTIC. I had a couple questions about the level of sweetness of the various rieslings & the sommelier came over to help. Ann considered sneaking one of the awesome red water glasses out in her purse. They said they used to sell them but they don’t anymore. Server said they used to sell everything from the glasses to the plates to the placemats. Giada’s gotta get her money.

    4BAEBE2D-E4FE-48A3-9B73-1CF073F21E8B.jpeg

Overall, phenomenal. It is definitely on our “go again” list!

Played Top Dollar at Ballys for about an hour after dinner & then I had to go to bed. I am so tired. Unfortunately, I did book the 6a flight home. So I went to bed at midnight, got up at 3:40, car came at 4:15, bag tag, bag drop, & TSA went way too fast. And now we’re sitting at our gate waiting to board at 5:40a.

This has been an awesome trip. It was great to spend Dan’s birthday with him & my MIL. Gambling (for Dan & I) was horrible this trip. Cancelled out the great gambling we did in July. Ann did awesome. Dan stayed up and gambled from BoA until about 2:30 this morning.

I’ll post some final thoughts later today or tomorrow from home! And a few more photos. I have some opinions on Paris, both good & bad.

Nice trip report! Sorry about the Colts collapse. My sportsbetting account was happy about it though. Lol

And I guess the waiter from last time wasn't there today? No confrontation? Lol
