Good luck if you play. But hope you don't get into another hole! I'm loss chasing a bit with the Australian Rugby League Grand Final tonight. Online sports betting is just too easy. Doh.

A quick note about V/P Avocado toast.
Try it from the Room service menu.

Palz & perhaps Venetian, has "Avocado Tartine" on the the Room service menu.
Its excellent. (also wonderful Roasted Tomato soup)
I lived on AT my last trip!
Ask for it in a Takeout container, cuz the leftovers box fit perfectly in the minibar frig.

One AT order lasted me Breakfast/ lunch.
The next day got an AT order for lunch, and lasted for dinner.:feedme:

OK, stil feeling a bit like a zombie, but I am a little refreshed and will try to catch up here. Let's pick up where I left off ....

After the wild ride in the casino, I went to dinner at Lavo. It was a bit of a letdown. Part of that was my fault. I was still full from Bouchon and didn't really want to eat much. i tought I had booked those meals far enough part to be hungry again but I really wasn't. I liked the decor and the friendly staff, but the food was just kind of meh. I ordered an app and a soup since I wasnt that hungry. Both were fine but not in any way special. At those prices, I want to taste the food and think wow that was good. instead, I tasted it and thought meh that was food. lol

Since I ate so light, dinner went quickly. Afterwards, I decided to go back to the high limit. more of the same. Fortunately it wasn't as out of control as earlier in the day, but it still was not good. Consistently, I went down and had to bet big to battle back. Baccarat just killed me this trip and BJ was simply inconsistent. Still, I left the room with about the same bankroll as when I started. After that, I decided to walk to Resorts World for a tour with a host I had been introduced to ....

The walk to Resorts World was interesting. As the few VMBers that have met me the last few years know, my health issues make walking difficult at times. And like an idiot, when I left Friday night, I was in a rush and forgot to bring my hiking pole that I use to help with my balance. Fortunately, I haven’t had any spills this weekend, but last night tested that. It was dark, there was limited light on portions of the walk, and there is still a lot of construction going on which made crossing the street difficult at times. Still, I made it and got a few good pics along the way.

Thanks nice I walked inside, I texted the host and wandered around a bit til he could meet me. My first impression is that RW is different. I’m not sure who their market is. They seem to be trying a lot of stuff. The place has a ton of lounges! I will be curious what it’s like when they finish building it. Still, I am intrigued

I waited for the host in the Crockfords high limit area/lounge. It’s interesting. Not many players in there. The live lounge singer amongst the gamblers is different.

The host was a great guy. He took me all around the property. What I saw was probably stuff VMBers already know about but I will share anyway.

Behind the crockford high limit, there is also a separate large bac room. He also took me up to the sky casino and lounge. The casino up there was pretty small. But the lounge had an outdoor terrace and great views

He then took me through several of the restaurants and inside the secret speakeasy. It was cool and I enjoyed the theme. He told me his daughter actually runs it. So I guess I could skip the line if I am one of his players lol. Overall, the property feels sleek, new, and a little different. We discussed comps and he can provide me upfront comps in line with what I get elsewhere. So I will probably give RW a try sometime next year

So after the tour, I walked back through Encore and Wynn. I had a plan to stop in a high limit for a hit and run but couldn’t find a table I liked. That’s probably good because I was basically ready to burn any future comps there. So, a little background

I have expressed my recent disappointment with Wynn. I have just fallen through the cracks. I actually reached out to a host there a week ago to find out what he could do for me upfront for a trip I am planning in January. He finally responded right before I left for this trip and said he could comps me two nights in a standard room and any additional nights would be out of pocket for me. Really?????

That seemed absurd to me. I’m a six figure credit line player and have never had a Theo less than high four figures, and usually five figures each time I have stayed there the past couple years. I have no idea what that host’s deal is. I know he assists other VMBers that sing his praises, but that kind of offer just stunned me. The fucking corporate offers I get from Wynn are more than that lol.

Still, another VMBer suggested to me that I reach out to my old MGM Grand host that works there now. I had tried to do that in the past and he wasn’t very receptive, but this VMBer suggested to me that the host was simply busy getting settled in an Wynn. So I sent that host an email Friday morning and sort of forgot about it.

So glad I did not burn any bridges! Last night after I got back to Palazzo, that host responded to y email and offered me upfront comps in line with what I used to receive at Wynn before my old, good host was let go a few years ago. So it looks like I will be staying there in January. Happy it all worked out

After the walk through Wynn, I stopped by the Palazzo high limit. more of the freakin same!!! Lose early and play bigger to battle back. Two hours later, I am up around 7k fo the trip and decide to call it a night.

Back in the suite, I am finally a litte hungry so i order an ipossible burger from room service. It was very good.

Got about six hours sleep and I am dragging this morning. Still, I went back to the high limit this morning. Once again, it started poorly, but I battled back and I am now up about 11k for the trip. Grazie website says I am about halfay to the highest tier, which is more than I had planned to gamble this weekend. But hey, it has worked out.probably done gambling for the trip, but who knows. Going to take a quick shower now, watch some football, and then I have a late lunch reservation at Milos! Excited for that. i will update more later

I should. The allure of the tables is calling me, lol. But I will likely just stay in the room and watch football

One other tidbit I found interesting and forgot to mention yesterday. As I watched the Bama game yesterday, I was stretched out on the bed and noticed a hawk flying right outside my window! It looked like he was coming for a landing just baove my room (there are only a couple floors above me). I jumpe off the bed and grabbed my camera, but I couldn't find him by the time I got to the window. I recall, though, Jose the hawk's trainer at the Wynn pools a couple years ago pointed out a hawk watching us from atop the Palazzo. So I wonder if it roosts up there. Anywho, I thought it was cool

$10k+ of theo for the trip. Comp value of at least $3k so far. Time to kick back and relax so that you don't "work" too hard and end up being undercomped. Get room service since it's excellent there.

That's just the right timing since tier credits reset at the beginning of the year (not that you would have any difficulty at all making the Wynn Rewards Black tier within three trips the way you play). Venetian resets at the beginning of March.
