Ok this is the last time I will post about where to stay but need a little help.My friend and I are both in our early 70s. Love Vegas and we meet there once a year. Want to stay somewhere we haven’t stayed before where we have a nice room a a lot of food options that are not all pricey. So my list is Mandalay Bay Delano NyNy Luxor and Park MGM. Can walk but not a lot at one time. Please help.

NY-NY or Park MGM would be my suggestions.

Plenty of food options, including Eataly and Best Friend (Park MGM), or Gallaghers and Chin Chin (NY-NY). Reasonably close to the tram.

I am in my mid-60s and don't like walking too far at one time either. I drive, so proximity to the valet (preferred) or self-park is desirable.

NY-NY for self park, Park MGM if valet. Either-or if you aren't driving.

Park MGM is closest towards the center so you'd get the most bang for your buck there as far as options, it seems like.

NYNY is fine... rooms are bit more basic - but lots of good food options that not as high end. And of course multiple places close by.

M-Bay or Delano is a nice change of pace and you can wander to Excal and Luxor all indoors.

Thanks. Have any of you stayed at Mandalay Bay? Is there a lot of walking to get around there?

If walking is the primary concern I would choose Park MGM or NYNY. Nomad at Park MGM if in your price or comp range

Food-wise, I'd pick Park MGM since Aria and Bellagio are basically attached in one way or another. Price-wise, Mandalay Bay/Luxor/Excalibur offer options at all price levels. Mandalay is big, but it's pretty spaced out in a way that it doesn't really feel tight when you walk around. If you want to take your time and walk at a slower pace, the walking paths around the casino are nice and wide.

IIRC, Park MGM is a non-smoking property if that holds any weight in your decision. Mandalay Bay is nice but nothing all that special. I do like their Tiffany-style lighting in the casino at Mandalay Bay and they do have a really nice lazy river pool.

The Mandalay casino is 155,000 sq feet
    Luxor - 101,000 sq feet
Park MGM - 90,000 sq feet
    NYNY - 81,000 sq feet
MGM Grand - 169,000 sq feet (for reference only)

So depending on what you want to do and where you stay, it could involve a decent amount of walking through the casino.

My mom and aunt used to travel with us when they were in their 70s. No issues getting around the Mandalay casino and getting to its restaurant row. However, neither of them had major mobility issues. My mom had trouble getting in and out of a car but she and my aunt could stay out until 2:30 every night.

Thanks. I think it’s going to be Mandalay Bay. Sounds like I can walk anywhere and find somewhere to sit and rest for a second then carry on.

    As a bonus, if you're a non-smoker, Park MGM casino is non-smoking.

Ok - I will add that the Mandalay aquarium and the food court are a hike. Border Grill is kinda far but not as bad as the aquarium/food court.

I wanted to suggest Mandalay Bay as well. It feels more like a holiday resort than the other ones. It has enough to offer that you don't need to go elsewhere if not wanted. And if do wanted, there is a free tram from MB to Luxor and Excalibur.

If I were going to not leave the resort I would choose Mandalay Bay - used to be my go to - and rarely left when i was there -
If walking to and from a couple casinos i would stay at Park MGM - as noted above close enough to Aria and NYNY and the The Park just outside between Park MGM and NYNY

Wondering which hotel has the least walking from elevators to casino area Mandalay Bay or Delano in vegas.

I'm just adding to this to mention that no matter where you stay, when you're checking in, ask if they could put you in a room close to the elevators.

There's a downside to that if you're a light sleeper though. Too close and you get to hear just about every loud conversation of everyone walking by, and the loud slam of every door in that vicinity slam shut as very few people catch the door before it starts gaining momentum. It's why I prefer rooms at or close to the end of the hallway, but I can certainly see why someone with mobility issues would want to be closer to the elevators.

Our room at NoMad (pre-pandemic) was very close to the elevators, and we never heard any noise. Quietest Vegas room I have ever stayed in.

Mandalay Bay elevator lobby is casino adjacent. Delano is a walk.

Best hotel for least walking... Nomad atop Park MGM.
