Harrahs Ak-chin steakhouse stopped serving bread and said because no more shared food

Then they later started selling bread for $2
    For the table

I don’t understand why people lose their sh$t over it? I bet Atlantic City still has free bread.

Another FYI - Vic & Anthonys at the GN still had the warm sourdough bread & butter at tonight’s dinner.

Personally, being served "free" bread is way down on my list of desiderata regarding restaurants. If the bread basket is there, I may or may not partake, but if it's not there, I probably will not miss it.

Same reason people dont like 6:5 blackjack, 3 zeros on a roulette table, loss of diamond lounges, etc. Its the degradation of services or options we used to have. Not everyone cares, but I certainly do. What definitely is will happen is if everyone is cool with it, expect that trend to expand.

If X isn't the proverbial straw/camel/break, there is an X+n out there for likely everyone. It happens in travel all the time. If resort fees spin someone's bunny, that's their thing. If free bread coming off the table is a deal-breaker, so be it. Travel can be very expensive, so if Hawai'i comes too dear then there always is Galveston, and plenty of folks certainly love each; I know where I'm going. Lucky for Vegas, it's rather immune to "deal-breaker" moments. AC was supposed to kill off Vegas decades OK, as I recall. Then tribal casinos in CA. Then it was 8/5 DDB VP. And so on. Every exaction pisses someone off, and that's understandable. But to expect Vegas to give a shit is just a false hope. That doesn't mean you need to put up with it, you have options as a travel consumer.
