LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The legendary Rolling Stones have added a Las Vegas stop to their 2021 “No Filter USA 2021 Tour” to perform at the Allegiant Stadium. The group is returning to the states to make up for their postponed 2020 dates. The 13-date tour begins on Sept. 26 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Las Vegas concert will be on Nov. 6, 2021 and the tour will end on Nov. 20 in Austin, Texas.

The Allegiant Stadium posted on its Twitter feed that the tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 30 at 10 a.m.

We were due to go home this day, but I may extend my trip one more day:D

Good seats are $$$. You can look at the shows that are already on sale to get an idea. Most of the best seats are part of VIP packages, as well as the GA pits that surround the stage and catwalk, those are also VIP. Stones always run a presale, too.

I have the presale code Mlife sent. Too old for the pit. We’ve been in Allegiant Stadium in the 300 section. It looks like most seats are really good seats. Ours were in 300 section for Garth Brooks were great seats.

Does the ticket price include a souvenir walker or is that only with VIP tickets?

Not a huge Stones fans but boy do I respect them. This concert will be another historic one. I'm planning to attend and right now I'll be doing a quick weekend trip just for the concert.

I've just got to ask. Why would a bunch of eighty year olds (or close to it) who have hundreds of millions of dollars want to go on tour? Get out of the house? Something to do?

I assume it is because they still want to perform. It’s just like anyone else who doesn’t want to retire because they love what they do. McCartney still performs because he loves it, being in front of audiences energizes him. I assume it is the same with the Stones.

The MLife presale is in addition to the Stones’ and I think it is happening the day before, too. Good luck! Ticketmaster is even more annoying than it was pre-pandemic. :goofy:

Agree with this. I hope when I am in my 70s/80s that I will love whatever I am doing that much to still want to do it even if I don't have to do it to make $$.

I don't know, it seems more common among musicians than other professions, so I guess many of them do love performing. Of course, some of the older bands you see playing at smaller casinos, fairs, etc., maybe do just need the money. I wonder if being in the spotlight, the adoration of fans, the fame... makes it harder to let go of than the average person retiring from a regular 9-5. I suppose as long as the quality is still there it doesn't really matter.

edit... I guess as long as I can still move when I'm 80 I'll still be taking care of animals. :)

I would never buy tickets to this show as I’m guessing the chances of it happening as scheduled is 10% tops. If you don’t mind having your money tied up for over a year (like Garth ticket buyers did), than go for it. As for me, I’ll pass.

I'm curious why you think that. Is it a Stones specific reason?

With the reference to Garth, I'm guessing it is capacity limits and a fear/speculation they might be instated again.

What makes you think this isn’t going to happen? We kept our Garth tickets but Ticketmaster offered a refund on them. We chose to keep ours. If the Stones cancel, Ticketmaster will offer refund on these too.

That I get though it is not specific to the Stones. Don't want to get too off topic but yeah, the Delta variant is pretty scary. If there I'll have a mask on.

My host called me yesterday to see if I wanted to attend as Wynncore will be purchasing some tickets. I'll be there two weeks later for Earth Wind and Fire on a Friday night at Venetian and Celine on a Saturday night at RW so yeah, the overarching issue of the Delta variant could affect all of those performances.

But, I'm still considering coming out two weeks prior for the Stones concert. It's a lot of flying but for lots of reasons this is my year for just "doing it" and I've still got a lots of air fare credit and miles to burn across three different airlines, which makes it a less expensive trip than it otherwise might be. I checked to see if the Stones were going to be performing anywhere in the NYC area. Seems odd but currently it's not in the cards.

possibly because when 2020 happened, the Stones did not “cancel” any of the shows, but “postponed” them, which meant that no refunds were offered, as I am recalling. Stones/TM kept their $ for quite a while.

I think the bottom line is that there isn't any reason to believe the show will not take place in November (a poster thought the odds of the show happening were low) unless it is for Covid-related reasons.

The issue of what happens if a show is postponed verses cancelled is a different issue, but even when I have had concerts postponed because of Covid each time I have had the option of a refund, whether for Garth (I attended) or Sting (I asked for a refund).

Presale tickets tomorrow! I'm hoping it will be an epic Vegas weekend with Breeders Cup on Friday and Saturday, Stones on Sat. night, and then Santana at the House of Blues on Sun. I have some of it booked—I'm actually flying (I hate flying) because renting a car is like silly expensive these days—but not the rooms. Hopefully some comps appear after my trips in August and Sept.

$508 and change for a single ticket. Wow! I think I may have paid $15 or $20 in 1981 when I saw them at the L.A. Coliseum.
