@JaDubya - Not winning yet, but Cosmo has Netflix so we stayed in last night & watched The Conjuring & Tom Segura stand up getting hammered in Stoli, lol.

There’s a lot I have to catch up on, will do tomorrow.

Update-Cosmo, PHo, Paris, Bally’s tables have no plexiglass, not requiring masks. Cosmo’s craps tables still have them up, though. Bally’s tables let us smoke at the table too.

Minimums for 3CP at PHo, Paris, Bally’s was $10, craps, BJ, Pai Gow were $15. Cosmo still at $25 all day & night.

Also, CET’s Caesars Rewards center closes at 8p M-Th. The only way we could reprint our card is from the pit. However at Bally’s we could get it from the cashier so it seems to differ between properties.

    Ok, time to catch up.

Sunday morning we went to Egg & I on W Sahara. I had a Groupon to use, but also the food is also really good. I normally get the Greek Scramble because I like to think it’s healthier, but I ordered the newly introduced Chicken Pesto scramble which has now become my new jam. You can also opt for fruit if you don’t want the 5lbs of seasoned potatoes they usually give with it.

I needed a pedicure. Like, really bad. Like, the last time I had one was before the Rona shut everything down. So we found Elan Nails & Spa on Decatur. Felt bad that we got there right when they opened but they were more than accommodating. The BF & I got pedicures (he did not choose a color), the BFF got a mani. Pricing is very reasonable, AND they have an employee named Chubby who solidified this place as my go-to for pedis going forward. He is the sweetest. 0738A3E4-10C6-44C1-9B2D-4749018A6F9B.jpeg

We then decided to keep our asses out of the casino for a bit & went to Griff’s right down the street. Stayed for a few hours, had a great time shooting pool & having some drinks. The $30 + $90 we spent shooting pool, eating & drinking was definitely a lot cheaper than throwing money in the stingy slot machines.

For dinner I’m supposed to take my mom & stepdad (who live here now) to an oyster bar but the only one I could think of was Palace Station & I wasn’t into the idea of waiting an hour for food. Tried Redwood but they didn’t have any reservations until 9:15p, way too late for dinner. So we ended up at Market Street. Again.

There were people in Noodle Exchange but it said they’re still closed. Private party maybe?

After dinner we went to check out Circa. Didn’t take much pics, others on this board have provided them already. No masks required there, no winning there either. I was done playing slots after about half an hour, I was not hitting anything other than this Minor (I normally don’t play more than a $1 on this money sucker game, lol).

Took a trip to Fremont, all tables full. No plexiglass, and no winning either. Didn’t stay long since it was too busy. They had personal Craps & Roulette games which I didn’t play but looked like fun. Seemed like Fremont street is going back to “normal” with all the drunks, street performers & crowded casinos.

    Thanks for the update.

$15 tables at the Cal? wow. Were the tables at the Fremont all $15 too? or were some $10? I can't imagine $15 tables to be full at the Fremont.

Guess I need to start playing on those crap machines if they are going to stay $10 and $15 minimums.

So how was your covid test? Did you upload it to the safe travels site? I wonder if they are going to discontinue the testing at MSS if they are looking to reopen the casino in July.

Monday morning we ended up eating at Market Street. Again. It’s convenient & what can I say, I love me some chili omelette.

    FDFF4D81-B010-485C-9C24-0B526A744A49.jpeg

After playing a tiny bit we made our way over to MSS for COVID testing. They’re using the conference room as a staging area so when you drive up they give you a packet & make you swab your own nose. And it’s not the one that goes deep & tickles your brain which I was super stoked about. Never had one yet & plan to keep it that way.

After the test we booked it straight to Cosmo. Man was I looking forward to this! I dropped them off in the wrong area (taxi station), then proceeded to miss the u-turn the nice valet guy told me about. Ended up taking a 10 minute detour back on Las Vegas Blvd, turned around driving through Bellagio, back to LVB & back to Cosmo. Their self park is not confusing to most people, but apparently I’m not most people. I end up leaving the self park via the Boulevard exit & having to turn around. Again.

While all of this is happening my BFF is trying to check us in early. In an effort to get us in the same floor he upgrades his comp 1BR FV room to a Terrace Suite. He calls me while I’m looking for parking saying if I upgrade for $50/night I can be on the same floor & I’ll get the “Jr Suite”. Thinking it’s an upgrade to a Terrace Suite I quickly agreed, made it up to the desk, gave the agent $20 tip since I thought she was giving us a super deal & went up to his room (our room wasn’t ready yet). Long story short, our room was upgraded from a Terrace Studio FV to a Terrace 1BR FV .

Now, I’ve done an extensive amount of research on these rooms & know that the price difference is usually about $7-$10/night. My BFF doesn’t know the room differences & when he told me about the upgrade offer he said it was a “jr suite” which is what the agent called it. Knowing I’m paying $50/night was not the biz. I emailed my host & initially he said I can talk to the host on duty about it (he was off until Thursday). However I didn’t feel comfortable bringing it up with a random host, especially since I’m a new player & have no play history. I decided to just pay it. I did bring him a bag of goodies (Hawaiian Host Mac nuts, Diamond G cookies, caramacs) just as a thank you for hooking us up with the rooms.

Cut to today, he emails me that I shouldn’t have been charged an upgrade since it’s a room he could’ve comped right off the bat so he’s reversing the charges. It’s a very nice gesture & I was very appreciative. I’m thinking the snacky-snacks may have helped, lol.

Anyway, back to Monday. Aside from feeling ripped off from the upgrade fee, the room was awesome! The 37th floor was a bit too high for me, but that view though. Glad I got to experience it once, don’t think I’ll NEED it the next time I stay there. My friend’s Terrace Suite was really nice, although we ended up hanging out mostly in our room because the living room layout was better for watching Netflix, lol.

The tables were set pretty high, I’m thinking because it was a weekend.

The COVID test was easy, uploading was difficult. Luckily my BFF brought his laptop for work because our IPhones were not saving the PDF of the test results. We looked EVERYWHERE on the phone for the PDF but it was no where to be found. Then when we did it on the laptop the Worksite Labs website opens it as a separate window, which it wasn’t doing on the iPhone. My BF’s Android phone did not have this problem so if you have an iPhone be prepared to use another device to upload it. It’s not an easy process especially for folks not tech savvy.

Lunch at Lardo was fantastic. I had the Sancho’s Grilled Cheese & BF had the Hot Italian. Fries were too herb-y. Sammich was so big we could only finish half of our orders, eating the rest later that night.

No good gambling wins, but found my new 3 favorite Buffalo games at Cosmo. The 3-reel $1 was the one my BF won almost $900 on when he got the free games (forgot to take a pic). The other 3-reel $0.01 is my second favorite, kept me busy for a while. The last is the 6-reel $0.01 one near the Chelsea elevators. Got a decent bonus the first night we played, then it just hated me the rest of the time.

Monday night came & we were losing in the casino so watched “The Conjuring” on Netflix through the room’s Smart TV & got hammered taking Stoli shots. Also watched some old school Tom Segura stand up before we passed out.

I'm determined to finish this TR, so here we go again...

Had reservations for breakfast at The Henry & was not disappointed. Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast was good, a little salty & gets monotonous after a couple pieces. The table next to us asked me about it & I told the couple if they split it with something else that would work better. I should've stolen the other half of my other half's Breakfast Burrito.

    Salmon.jpg Burrito.jpg

Today was Primm Lotto Store Day! The 45 minute-ish drive is actually not bad. The Prizm Outlet mall is. It was depressing to see almost all the stores boarded up & empty. The art helped to liven up the place, even though we were probably 3 out of the 10 people in the entire mall (and that's a generous guess). We wondered the mall, I bought some "ok" espresso from the coffee/juice bar in the food court before standing in line for lotto tickets. Took almost 1.5 hours to get in the store, luckily we we had line mates in front of us & behind us that were really fun to talk to. Learned a lot about L.A. & random things in Vegas.

    *Not my hand*
    megamillions.jpg

After spending almost 5 hours out & about attempting to win $475 million dollars, we picked up some Del Taco before heading back to Cosmo. No pics because, well, its Del Taco.

After Del Taco, nappy time. After nappy time, Hattie B's! BF & I shared the 1/2 bird w/Mac & Cheese & Fries, BFF had the tenders (no spice). I had the hot & while it was spicy, it kind of lacked any other flavor other than "hot". If we eat there again I might just stick with the Medium.

We ain’t done with you yet, Tuesday.

Determined to find a $10 3CP table we head over to Planet Hollywood. They have a table but it’s packed. Almost every table game, packed. Rewards center is closed so I assume the cashier may be able to reprint my BF & BFF’s player cards. I asked one of the pit bosses & he says the cashier can’t reprint cards, only the pit can. And you have to be playing at a table. Since nothing I wanted to play was open, we’re off to the next casino.

We go waltz through Paris, same thing. Rewards center closed, tables packed. On to the next one...
    999DEB63-2EE6-457A-89ED-9AC4FF064783.jpeg 82AE8A42-A78D-48E7-9D18-C9E1125ECE23.jpeg 2E559D39-5771-44D0-9E7F-65678CFD3A37.jpeg

Last place we try is Bally’s and eureka! They have a $10 3CP table open. So I plop myself down with the BF & BFF (He was able to get his card reprinted at the cashier...). I didn’t win anything of importance but had a fun time with the dealers & other players. Played for about an hour. In 3CP time that’s a long time on $200. However after about 30 mins they upped the minimum to $15. Ended up losing then slotted around, nothing exciting happening there either.

Wondered back to Cosmo to slot there. Lost more money, got more drunk, passed out.

    Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Last full day in my Happy Place!

Woke up after 10am, which is the latest we woke up the entire trip. Ran it hard Tuesday night I guess. It’s almost lunch by the time we get up & ready to go so it’s a perfect day to go to Sakana, our favorite AYCE sushi spot. Food was fantastic! The rice to fish ratio allows you to really get your glutton on. I did realize that having AYCE sushi as your first meal of the day doesn’t allow you to eat as much as you would if you food-lubed your tummy first with breakfast. The server was awesome, he even changed my BFF’s meals to a la carte pricing since he barely ate the food he ordered.
    D87BBAC8-B65D-431E-886E-BBC8A5FC3A17.jpeg
Normal rolls have 8 pieces but you can ask for half rolls

We still needed coffee so we went to Tiabi Coffee & Waffle a few doors down from Sakana. Their Twilight Lavender Latte is my go to, but I think I’ll get it with regular milk next time. Almond milk makes it weird. I’d also recommend the West Coast Wafflewich. I had it a couple trips ago & it left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
    CADEA221-CB79-4E87-91FD-9F13E233815D.jpeg

Played some more slots & lost more money. Tired of my wallet getting smaller & smaller we take a food break. Hot Italian from Lardo once again, but this time my BF & I share it. And we order fries from Hattie B’s instead. BFF gets a Teriyaki Chicken rice bowl from Bang Bar. The pickled onions were so good I put it on my sammich & made an even better Hot Italian. Seriously, I’m going to see if I can order it as a side next time we go just for my sammich. Lines for food were non existent at 4p on a Wednesday.

We weren’t planning on drinking because we have to be at the airport by 7:40a Thursday morning. So what else to do when you want to save the rest of your bankroll for a last hurrah before bed? Watch the Conjuring 2!
    87DAA05C-6176-4DE2-9785-351EEF1B0863.jpeg

It’s after 10p & all the restaurants are closed...except Secret Pizza. The line didn’t look too bad so the BFF & I stood in line, probably about 30 mins. But since we ordered a whole pie it took another 20 mins. Half garlic, mushroom, ricotta & half pepperoni was a $40 pizza! If I payed more attention & realized we had 4 toppings I would’ve put more shit on the pepperoni half of the pizza. I’m very sure I’m in the minority but I didn’t think the pizza was that good. The garlic wasn’t garlicky enough, the ricotta was ok, & the mushrooms were so thin they were almost non existent. Boston’s Pizza in Kaimuki back home is way better & their pie is bigger & cheaper.

After eating the BF stays in because tired, but BFF & I are determined to try & win some moolah. After 2 hours, it didn’t happen, even though my BFF sat at the Crazy Money II machine for almost an hour.

Now, I can’t say for sure if it was the pizza or the sushi we ate for lunch, but after I shower & get ready for bed at 2:30a, my stomach starts to turn. Like, so bad I can’t ignore it & pray it away. So I go to the bathroom, cramping & in pain. I still feel really sick & feel super nauseous. Yep, I’m gonna hurl. And I did, projectile style. It was bad. Finally around 4a I’m able to fall asleep. Then 2 hours later, I’m up to get my ass ready to leave...

I'd take the over on the Sushi..
    How'd the pool games go?
maybe they'll bring that Cosmo table back (doubt it)

BREAKING NEWS: is golden arm rescheduled to Sept 23-27?
if so and MSS opens, I'll be there.
