Which hotel offers the best value base/standard room of the fountains on the strip?

Cosmo 1br or studio fountain view hands down. It’s hard to compete with the balcony they offer. After that I’d say Bellagio fountain view. Then probably Paris or Caesars Palace in no particular order.

Paris is likely the cheapest. Not sure if Bally’s calls some rooms fountain view

If it's a value question I'd say Planet Hollywood or Paris depending on the day. Cosmo has the best room but the retail price of a terrace studio or 1br is 2 or 3 times the price of Paris or PHo. Bellagio standard fountain view king less nice than Cosmo, usually cheaper, but usually way more than the places across the street, and nicer than those (unless you get a renovated one and care about a tub).

Pretty much you get what you pay for but Planet Hollywood fountain view rooms have a better view than Paris in my opinion because no Eiffel Tower to obstruct your view (really depends which room you get at Paris because they only sell "premium Eiffel Tower view" not "fountain view"), and PHo also have tubs which most Paris rooms dont, and the ones that do are horrible. I'd also personally prefer a Planet Hollywood room over the new Bellagio remodeled rooms because Bellagio put in those stupid half-a-wall shower and ripped out the nice tubs they used to have, but if you dont care about that, Bellagio is a way nicer property than any Caesars property. All depends on what you like and how much you have to spend. Ballys does have some decent fountain views in Jubilee tower but you can't really book one guaranteed, just "strip view" which may or may not have Paris at least partially obstructing the fountain from view.

There are a few Vdara rooms that supposedly have fountain views but I don't have 1st hand knowledge.

I’ve stayed in a couple rooms at VDara that had fountain views.
One was a Corner and the other was a Penthouse.
The view is between Cosmo and Bellagio and although not bad ,it is not like looking down at the fountains from Cosmo.

Yeah the Paris rooms are probably cheapest and the rooms aren't that bad. When I do stay there I get a corner room for the extra space but I always ask for a view facing the opposite side facing the mountains/Ballys mostly because I'm a light sleeper and you can definitely hear the water cannons when they go full blast.

If they get things back in full swing, the pool party or club in that vicinity that goes on until 3am at Paris is much louder than the fountains. I noted in my TR a couple years ago when I stayed on a back facing front wing corner room that I could hear it over the TV in bed at night.

Wow I'm so used to Covid that I completely forgot about the club. Come to think of it it's the other main reason I book on the back side now if I decide to stay at Paris. I just haven't had to worry about the club in so long that it became an afterthought.

    In ones I've had:
    Cosmo Chelsea tower FV rooms
PH, upper floors, northern facing part of the tower
    Paris Eiffel View
    Caesars Augustus FV rooms
Bally's Jubilee strip view (have to ask for south-facing)

I prefer the Caesars Augustus over bellagio fountain view, but I was 33rd floor compared to 14th. Both are great rooms but the overall view from Caesars was better.

No matter where you stay, they're going to charge for the view. There are no base rooms with fountain views.

Paris would probably be the best value and view, followed by PH and Bally's Jubilee Tower for the money. My personal choice would be to shell out the cash for the right room at Cosmopolitan. Someday, I will get a fountain view room at Bellagio, but these seem massively overpriced.

Problem with Planet Hollywood though is the windows are small so you have to walk up to them and move a table.

I tend to agree, even if it’s just for one evening.

This thread reminds me of when I was in the Navy and I wanted to buy a 1969 Camaro convertible that was in so-so condition at best. I called my dad back home and asked what he thought. I still remember his exact words, “I’m not telling you what to do but everyone should own a convertible at least once.” Had he lived long enough to spend a night in one of those fountain view rooms at Cosmo he would have thought the same way.

I say go for it and treat yourself....
