The trip has been a pretty good time overall. Never made it to Hard Rock and the fact that it’s next door is quite amusing. We did see the tree sculptures along Beach Blvd heading towards Gulfport.

So I promised not to go dark and pull a “fuzzy”, but mine wasn’t a pass out in my suitcase type of reason. It actually became a two/-fold reason.

I know you all want to know, well, I did finally get onto a craps table. I was treading water for awhile and another choppy table. Some of the same guys I played with yesterday were on the tables tonight. We chatted and had some fun. Even got to help a young newbie start learning the game. He was able to turn his $100 “hard-earned” bankroll into $140. He was so stoked, and we were all happy for him and told him to just enjoy the win and not give it back! Made us feel great to see him leaving happy. Can’t say we all fared so lucky. I know the game is built against the player, but I kept on the rail for almost 6 hours tonight. Somewhere over 13 on-table hours for the trip and down about $400. Not what I hoped for, but a result with which I can’t be mad.

The second reason is a family reason. Got an email that made me as a parent excited and proud. It was for our youngest daughter. She has interest from a college for playing soccer, but that’s not unusual, as she’s had numerous colleges showing interest lately. However, the most recent one is her dream college! Told her of the news and she was freaking out! Brought tears to my eyes to know there’s a chance she might be able to live two dreams at once. It’s a long road to go for it to happen, but we now know it’s possible.

Here’s to an amazing Biloxi trip!
Although I may not be done....yet.

Thanks for the laugh and well wishes for her. It’s not Marshall as this school isn’t known for soccer, but they are a football powerhouse.

So the gambling adventure is done for the trip. Only one table open this morning for $15, but packed to the hilt. For any of you coming to the Beau soon, you will greatly enjoy the atmosphere and probably get some steps in waiting for a spot.

On another note, for my buddy @EastCoastVegasFan! in case you take a trip to Biloxi, they do have one of these....just saying.

Since the report is over, I have found some random pictures from the trip and wanted to leave them here.

This is like going to Italy and eating at Olive Garden lol I'm kind of surprised they have that!

Oooh! The bubble craps is new. That was one of my very few complaints about the place. I dont like that solo version at all, but at least they have it now!

This was in the “real life” part of town off the intersection of I-10 and highway 15, not on the touristy side. Just a few minutes away from Scarlet Pearl.

I thought it was nice to try out these machines. Saw them at Beau and Harrah’s. These aren’t like playing at a table, but it’s a fun way to take a break (or scratch the itch if you can’t get on a table) and get drinks.

Beau minimums were total $5 in play at a time. The machine at Harrah’s only required $1 in play per “toss.”

Edit: You don’t have to play a line bet on these machines. You can’t hedge your line bets unless you have points placed prior to come out roll. And I noticed at the Beau machines would indicate how many rolls between certain bets (mainly on the hard ways), but didn’t see that little quirk on the Harrah’s machines.

I noticed a conspicuous lack of them in Biloxi at all properties (any variety of bubble) and figured there must be some legal fine print responsible for that, and yah I'd rather settle for this individual one than $25 tables or no craps at all. I just like that the shoot to win are more social and something about the tiny cheap looking dice in the individual version makes it seem ... I dunno... just not the same. Seems less like craps and more like a pinball machine or video game with a dice gimmick or something. All mental.

Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining TR. I am glad you had a good time down here. You certainly got around to a lot of different places. I don't know if your cemetery interest extends to military cemeteries but we have a pretty large one (20K graves) here in Biloxi. Going west from the Beau on Hwy 90, take a right at Veterans Blvd ( by Big Play Entertainment Center) and continue on Veterans until you drive straight into the main entrance of the cemetery. I am part of a group of volunteers who puts a Christmas wreath on every grave in the cemetery around Christmas and we are doing a fund raising walk tomorrow along the beach to help pay for those wreaths. I will watch for notice of your next visit. Maybe we can share a rail on that trip.

That’s awesome with placing the wreaths. I know it’s a tough task but one that can make you feel fulfilled in some manner. I knew there was a veterans cemetery but no idea it was that large. I do go to them to walk and pay respects to those who served and fought for our country (my dad, uncle, and grandfather all served in the military).

I enjoy getting out an experiencing a locale when we visit rather than just sitting in one spot. There’s a lot to do and see in the Biloxi area and certainly enough to come back for more! It’s definitely on our high list because the area crosses off both the beach and casinos to make us both happy. Next time we might plan a day or two for New Orleans as well.

I’m all for sharing some good times and throwing some dice next time we are that way!
