I will be staying here for the first time. What kind of daily play is required for free room offers in the future , or to ask for the room to be comped on this trip? Second, Siegel's 1941 has a 50+ get 50% off special menu on Wednesday, What kind of items are on this menu?

I can’t answer your question specifically, but once you run a few thousand thru you will be getting offers about once a quarter giving you rooms for three nights, some dining money and some free play. Once you established yourselves you will get offers so long as you play there. At a certain level of play you will also get invites to slot tournaments and blackjack tournaments. The Wednesday half price menu is a condensed menu with just a few items. One of them is a good two egg, meat, hashbrowns breakfast (Was $1.75 when we started going there years ago!) Wife and I went there for around 15 years but then they started tightening things up. Our play no longer garnered free tournaments, then they started removing all their full pay VP so we had to leave. Still a great place for table games and a lot of history there.

El Cortez has the Siegel's 1941 menu posted on line. Start here. There are several links on this page. https://elcortezhotelcasino.com/dining/siegels-1941/.
My experience with comps was that El Cortez was a tough nut to crack. I used to spend a few hours there per trip and only got minimal comps. As Boyd hollowed out their comps program I spent more and more time at El Cortez. It took me 2-3 trips before I got consistent offers from them. El Cortez is now the reason I go to Vegas. I spend most (if not all) of my time there and they take care of me.

The first time mom and I went there, I played WAY more than her and even max bet and took advantage of both kiosks promotions and had 45 free play worth of points playing on Feb 1st. Then my mom and I finally got our first offers and guess what? Exactly the same and I was very very shocked. 40 free play 3 free nights, 50 food. So I am not going to max bet and put a lot of money in el Cortez again and will play like my mom did instead after I use my free play there my next trip end of month. My mom only got enough points for the spin the wheel promotion (the one where you can win gift of month). That's how low hers was, she didn't even get to 1000 points for the 2nd promotion. My play didn't give me the offers I deserved so I am gonna give the same amount my mom did.

SoCalMon - That's a level 2 offer. There are only 2 offers better than that. 1 and 1A. Level 1 has 3 nights 75 FP and 100 Food. Level 1A has 4 nights, 200 FP and 100 food. Sounds like you got a pretty good offer for one day of play.

Why is my offer same as my moms though? My mom only made enough points for first promotion thats like 300 pts i think it was. I made enough points for both (the first promotion and the 1.5k point promotion). That does not make sense. She did not make anywhere near 1000 points. I made i do not know how many points, a lot i know that. My mom was minimum betting the whole time and I was max betting after a jackpot i won at the golden nugget the night before. I also did not leave el cortez a winner and lost some of my winnings from the nugget. i put in a lot of money at el cortez and my mom only a few hundred.

Maybe mom knows who to smile ;) at and make small talk with. I’d take her into the other room and  ask her “What’s the what :woot: old woman “. And don’t take :nono: any of that “Sweetie, :cry:what are you talking about?” crap.
We’ve all been there; you won’t be out of line.....:hmmm:

Your offer is the same as your mom's because you both met the minimum requirements for the offers you both got, but neither of you met the minimum requirements for the next highest offer.

The best advice I can give you is to make sure you start the process of dining at 1941 a minimum of 45 minutes before you are actually hungry. You will burn approx 15 minutes getting put on the waiting list regardless of how many (or any) people are in front of you. Then go play something for at least 30 minutes so you don't get irritated with all of the foolishness you will witness if you just stand there and wait. That's about enough time for them to shuffle the place mats and silverware 2 or 3 times per table. If you're lucky, they'll be able to seat you at that time and you'll only be there another 30 minutes or so until your food arrives. It's usually very frustrating to patronize 1941, bit maybe you'll be one of the very lucky and very few who won't have any issues or annoyances.

oh that is weird. El Cortez must work different than any other casino I have ever played at. This kind of play at el cortez that I did gets me 100+ free play offer at the other casinos which is why I was surprised. Golden Nugget gives me $250, 4 queens $300 (til june, then june july august $30 because I really lowered my play my last trip there and did not play much there), D $100, circa $100.

I’ve eaten there numerous times and we walk right in. However, being from Ohio, we tend to eat dinner pretty early.

^ See above. Those of us that stay on East Coast time eat dinner at 2 or 3PM. Usually not a line :). When I go to be at 8 or 9 Vegas time, there isn't a line to get an elevator either, which is nice :)

How do you even check your offers? There's no way to log in.

Also is there anyone who plays tables who can give some insight on what kind of offers you are getting?

I get the pretty-standard, low-roller offer: 3 nights (Sun-Thu) & a $25 meal credit. This is with zero slot or VP play - just tables: $5/$10 craps, $10 blackjack, $5 UTH & $5 3-card... about 5 or 6 hours of play per day.

He gets these offers because the casinos always mix up our player cards when rating us. :poker:

They will gladly look at your play and comp you on the back end if it is warranted. Used to be very easy to get comped rooms but is harder now if you mostly play VP. 4 hours of 10+ at the tables or 4 hours of $2.00+ slots will get you noticed.

Offers are emailed or regular mailed. At one time they had a portal but it never worked right.

    Got it.

I played about 9-10 hours of blackjack combined over two days back in May so was just wondering if that was enough (and if it was when the offers night start coming).

Even just a solid discount. Giving serious consideration to spending a night or two downtown next trip (which, admittedly, is still pretty far away).

Hard to tell with them... It took several trips from me, with play similar to yours, before they sent me an offer.
Once you start getting them, though, they should keep coming... some offers are better than others (include Fri-Sa nights, FP, more meal credits, etc), but the "standard" low-roller offer should keep coming, even with minimal (but regular, periodic) play.
