Cosmo/Palazzo- May the 4th Be with You Until May 8th

These two things right here are the primary reasons I spend so much effort on mine. Plus it often distracts me long enough to take a lot of short breaks.

 

I can only imagine the things those window washers see on a regular basis, haha.

Those salt air margarita's are delicious. We are back home now, but sorry we never got a chance to say hi! By the time you were at lunch, we were over at Bellagio.

Oh my goodness. What an afternoon I’m having! Let me preface this by saying that I have not gambled yet, so no slot pics below.

So the Wynn Masterclass Brunch. I knew that @DaiLun and @Flowers were going to be there so I was SUPER excited to meet them. I basically consider them VMB royalty. I’m sure everyone has their own opinion on who is on that throne.

I walk on over to Lakeside at the Wynn where the class was being held. It’s downstairs next to Parasol Down. I’ve never been to either place so I was glad I found it pretty easily.

While waiting for the doors to open, I got to meet @DaiLun and his BFF. We hit it off pretty quickly! Super nice guys and fun to talk to. We waited for @Flowers but she didn’t show up when they started checking us in.

The three of us decided to sit together in a booth and Chef Robert came out to introduce himself to our table. After the class started, we all wondered where Flowers was and hoped that everything was fine. About 15-20 minutes after class starts, the Queen (of Wynn) arrives! OMG I felt like I was in the presence of a celebrity!! Ha! You’ll have to read Flowers’ trip report to get the lowdown of why she was late. Pretty funny IMO!

Anyhoo, it was more of a live demonstration class and not a hands-on class, which I was OK with. They served us everything Chef Robert cooked on stage (though most items were made in the back for all the tables). We also received two cocktails- a sangria and the Brunch Club Mule (which was very gingery).
They served an amuse bouche which was juice made with beets, a tropical fruit parfait, an açaí bowl, a Spanish frittata with chorizo and goat cheese, side salad and bread and finished with Chocolate Mousse and Cherry French Toast. I thought everything was tasty!

Later on in the class. Flowers joined our table and it was great chatting about this and that. They gave us all menus and a box of macarons as parting gifts.

All in all, it was a good class. The best part for me was meeting @DaiLun and his BFF and @Flowers.

I saw these 2 on my last trip. And yes! They are so good! I gave them a tip and then listed them in my vlog

 

OK. So after class, we all stayed back and met with Chef Robert and chatted with him for a bit. @DaiLun and I are planning to meet up for dinner at Jaleo tonight. Delmonico will have to wait! He and his BFF left and @Flowers and I hung out at the Wynn.

OMG. Let me tell you! She is as awesome in person as she is online, if not even more so! She gave me a personal tour of the Tower Suites side of the property and it was such a privilege! I still can’t believe it!

Funny story. While we were chatting near the Carousel, I think in my excitement, I somehow managed to trip and fall INTO THE PLANTS display. What. The. Heck. Now, I’m wearing a dress, mind you, and I’m pretty sure some patrons of the Wynn caught a glimpse of my hooha. Luckily I remembered to wear clean underwear today. Boy, was I mortified!!! Some very nice people helped me out of the bush ( I fell in there pretty good!) and Flowers took great care of me afterwards. Thank you so much, @Flowers, for your kind hospitality! I have a cut and a few bruises, but it was worth it as I got to finally meet @Flowers. OK. I’ll stop fangirling now.

I think I’m going to slot around before dinner with Dailun. Was going to go shopping for a Mother’s Day gift for my mom, but I think I’m just going to give her some of the CASH I’m about to win!!!

I was going to respect your privacy and not share that story but it is pretty funny reading it. Just take some Ibuprofen or Tylenol just in case you get sore. I am glad you are okay. We have ALL been there with those kind of incidents. I am glad my overpacking came in handy with antibiotic and pain relieving ointment and all! Lol.

On a more serious note, it was so wonderful to meet you. Wishing both of us some major wins tonight and maybe we'll celebrate at Parasol on the patio!
