Played a long time at Aztec Inn on a $20. Playing nickels Dueces VP. Bartender was from Cleveland and I had a shirt on indicating I was as well. We had a nice long conversation about why Cleveland is the greatest place in the world, minus January and February.

Now at Bazaar Meats. This place is impressive.

Sahara had some nice cars out front. Didn't see a blue Ferrari @MCann. 20210502_164735.jpg

Sahara is a satellite pickup/dropoff location for one of the exotic car rental places - I think its Dream Exotics, which is the place that bait and switched and scammed me the worst I've ever been screwed on a rental, but they have really nice, mostly brand new cars. When we got stuck there after dinner last year on 4th of July, we saw someone pick up and drive off what I'm pretty sure was the Lamborghini I rented on June 2019, but yah, that's why there are so many nice cars out front of Sahara.

Ya, totally a rental place. Signs indicating such. I was impressed with the Sahara until I saw the signs.

To be fair, I was impressed too while we were waiting outside and 3 brand new convertible lamborghinis pulled up at the same time, but when a bunch of dudes ran out and jumped in them and I recognized one as the one I'd rented, I remembered Sahara having been a pickup option. Bazaar Meat though...

Arts District is pretty awesome. I'm a big brewery guy so its kinda heaven. There are at least 6 breweries in the general area. All very walkable. The area itself is pretty cool. Lots of little shops and antique places. Definitely worth an afternoon.

Still sitting at Bazaar Meats. Ate off the Bar Bite menu at the bar. Food was really good. Got the Cotton Candy Foie Gras, chicken croquettes, sausage meatballs and sloppy joe. Meatballs were the best by far. Sloppy Joe most pedestrian. Very Manwich-esque. Bazaar Meats is a pretty awesome space though. Beer was the most expensive item!

Surely you didn’t get comp drinks at Aztec playing nickels. Do they have a good price on Pabst or something?

Comped all the way. Not much of a selection but didn't pay for a thing.

Not sure, but I didn't see the tarbender charge anybody for anything. No tables though only machines.

So I went into DTG tonight and saw a sign that outlined their table game times. I thought to myself that it was interesting...and then walked right by without taking a pic or mentally noting what it said. So, you're welcome. As George W. would say... Mission Accomplished.

Calling it a night. VP was rough tonight. Only hit one more 4oak all night. Played some BJ at Downtown Grand. Didn't go well. Ate a slice at Pizza Rock. Drank a lot of Two Hearted IPAs at GG. Tipped $5 on the first round and she just kept bringing them. First world problems.

For those asking about DT table minimums, I haven't seen ANY table under $10 anywhere except the $1 BJ table at Downtown Grand. Caveat being I am yet to step food in the El Cortez, Golden Nugget, Cal or Plaza. Plan to go to all of them today though.

El Cortez all $10 and up except one $5 3 Card Poker table.

Lunch and a beer at Le Thai. Good but not great. Past few times have been better.

I thought similarly of Le Thai...although good, I had remembered it to be better. This realization enticed me to try Socho Sushi a block away on Carson. Excellent and they took Circa/D/GG comp points.

    [Edit: Bocho Sushi]

Golden Nugget has a few $5 BJ tables. 6 to 5 and $1 side wager required.

Very curious of your thoughts on Socho. Always looking for something new to try.
