    Conclusions
Second ever overnighter. A little tiring, but also sort of energizing.

Vegas is as busy as pre-Covid. They may be at 80% of rooms, 80% of restaurant tables... but casinos as busy as ever.

My first time ever going home a winner. Had several trips with very minimal losses, but this is new! Exciting for me.

Resisting temptation to play slots here in airport.

One hour until flight... no equip at gate. Very windy here.... every other flight in terminal is delayed, so.... They announced a delay- they are waiting on crew to sanitize plane.. What a joke!! I'm ready to get home.

    Delay was only 20-min.

Have a business trip planned in five weeks... considering changing it and heading back sooner for fun.

    LOL at richer

The only thing richer in this home are sauces or gravy when cooking, and I add butter.

Had $40 to win on Medina Spirit for the derby at 12-1, rest of trip is gravy. 20210501_161045.jpg

Congrats on the winning trip and thanks for taking us along. Not sure I could do just an overnight in Vegas.

I don't know where you live. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't such a quick-and-easy flight from SF Bay Area.

My first overnighter, I had a business meeting very close to SFO, and faced a pre-Covid rush hour, two trafficky hours commute back home; so I chose SFO. I was halfway to Vegas before I would have gotten home.

We were there Christmas 2019 and had a 9pm flight back to the UK. Asked for a late checkout at the front desk and was quoted $50 for a 1pm checkout. Politely declined. As we'd spent a little bit of time in the HL room (maybe 1hr total over the week) thought I'd see what a host could do. Walked out with half off the resort fees and a comp 5pm checkout. Shows that it always pays to go ask.

Thanks for the trip report. Being from the UK a one night trip to Vegas would never work but you've sure managed to cram a fair bit in. Shortest we've done is 4 nights and that seemed like a whirlwind trip! Longest was 8 nights and that felt just right. Roll on 2023 for our next visit!

Nice TR. I’ve toyed around with the idea of an overnight trip a few times and this just encourages my degenerate thinking. It’s a 2 hour flight for me and with the way the non-stop flights work out, it’d leave me between 20 and 25 hours in Vegas.

I have done a day trip and its a 4 hour trip for me. I don't do that anymore, but I do overnights if that is all I can do and I really want to gamble. I don't really like to go to local casinos and I love to fly so it works out.

That's a really good point. The local casinos that I prefer are a 2.5 hour drive away and when I think about it, I have to drive by my regional airport to get there. TSA never takes more than 10 minutes, so really it's maybe just an hour/hour and a half longer going to Vegas?

Yeah, I need to pull the trigger on this. Hell, I could land at 8pm flying Southwest and leave at 7am flying Frontier and just skip the hotel.

I've done overnight trips several times, but I live in LA and just drive in. Usually if I do an overnight, its because I'm in town to check out something Halloween related and don't have time to do more than one night.

Awesome report! I’m a big fan of turnarounds as well. We were there this weekend too and it’s packed as HELL. Definitely getting back to pre-rona levels. Way to end in the plus!

Congratulations on leaving a winner. I believe it is easier to leave a winner on a short trip rather than a longer one. It seems I win more using a hit and run strategy. My problem is I enjoy blackjack so much i want to play for hours on end and the longer I play the odds finally catch up with me. That was a sweet score right at the end. Congratulations again.

Thanks for taking us along, especially with time being of the Essenes with such a short trip. Congratulations on leaving up!
