The marker payment envelopes which used to be "postage paid" now require postage.

    Sheesh . . . . .

CET gives you 75% of a shot in a drink. Pay 75% of the postage.

Yeesh! The list of actions by CZR conveys either just how much trouble they're in, or a horrible mean-spiritedness among managment- or both.

They should change the name of their flagship property to Caesar's Parsimonious.

Challenging at Tahoe, but glad I swore off all CZR properties in LV after a bad 2018 experience.

Can't they just stuff the envelope with solicitations which offsets the return postage cost?

Death by a thousand cuts. Quite literally cuts. Policies like these dreamt up in some boardroom will eventually hurt them.

Truly a thousand cuts. Talk about insult to injury—here’s your bill for $10,000, please provide your own stamp.

It is hard for me to think of one “enhancement” or change that has been player/guest friendly since Harrahs took over Caesars. Something is always eliminated, cheapened, or dumbed down. After doing this 1000 times you don’t have a luxury hotel anymore, and you have a wary client base on the lookout for the next “enhancement.” Every time you do something to cheapen down the experience hoping nobody will notice or care, a few people consider that the last straw and a few of them leave.

Could be a bunch of different factors at play, here.

USPS just recently jacked up their rates across the board. With an already crappy year due to the pandemic, casinos probably said "screw that" to having to foot the bill on higher postage fees.

I've never had a marker in my life so I don't know how it all works, but it's possible that CET is trying to get away from snail mail as much as possible to save both money and time. If they can nudge you into paying it off online or over the phone, all the better for everyone involved.

This also reminds of the recent thread about the 99 cent price hike on hash browns... We have people in here gambling hundreds and thousands of dollars a day, often that much in an hour, and yet it's having to spend literal pennies on something extra once every few weeks or months that brings out the "I am never coming here again!!" in people... I mean, come on, folks... these are not the hills to die on... :haha:

IF they had quit sending out so much snail mail, that would be something, but they have been “trying to get away from that” for about 5 years with mostly lip service. Now they have everyone’s email address, but they send the snail mail anyway.

IF it was only one thing, it would be easy to overlook. It’s the relentless accumulation of little things like this that add up to death by 1000 cuts.

Yet they’re still getting enough pawns to chase through ridiculous obstacles to achieve Diamond and Seven Star status. Their greed has probably saved a lot of people from a lot of problems. After Harrah’s left STL in 2013, it still took me 5+ years to use up my Reward Credits and go from Diamond to peon.

Of course, the other answer to this is to let ALL CET markers age the 30 days and have them deduct from my bank . . . .

Providing housekeeping only on request is frugal.

What CET does all day every day is cheap.

I don't know their "system" for this, but I don't believe I have ever received a single piece of snail mail from any Las Vegas casino in all the years I've been going there. I've gotten a few from the CET/MGM rewards credit card companies (maybe once or twice a year at most), but never the actual casinos themselves.

On the other hand, I get multiple emails a week from them.

So, like I said, I don't know how they decide who gets snail mail and who doesn't.

Saves some time and trouble...I used to do this as a routine unless I was returning within the 30 days!

Are you opted-in for snail mail? Look at your profile in the CET website.
